Interesting the Raiders website appears to be down? Can't get any more info. ooops back up again. It is with sadness the club has to announce the departure of point guard, Declan Soukup with immediate effect. Soukup has had a difficult first season in the BBL, one that has been plagued with various injuries, and despite the therapy and physio assistance from both Marjon and Nuffield Health, he has struggled to maintain a consistent level of fitness. Therefore, at Declan’s request, the Club have agree to release him so he can return home to Australia for an extended rest and rehabilitation period. Coach Paul James said, “We’re sad to see Declan leave us, he’s worked hard over the season despite having to deal with injuries. “We wish him all the best with his further rehab, and hope to see him back playing again soon”. Soukup added “I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved with the Raiders’ programme, for making these last 6 months a truly invaluable experience. “I wish the club, the fans and everyone associated nothing but the best, thank you!” |

Barley played all year through injury and Okiki playing so well, administrations of the past would've binned him long ago. Wonder if hes been asked to be released so he can recover in time for one of the Australian summer (winter) leagues?

Will Plymouth bring in someone new to replace Declan? Don't think theres any point mate, Okiki is a far better back up and Declan barely played all season |

Has he expressed an interest in returning? I’m not sure but he was at one of Raiders home games this season against Riders so he must now be interested in returning to the club |
