14 points is doable, but having watched the 1st half, cant see what Scorchers can do to change the game ?
Could it be a case of ... this game was won in the 1st Qtr ... We shall see!!

A good result tonight but I have been wondering over the last few games the following:
A. As great a player Dante is I'm sure he used to take more three pointer opportunities than he has recently.
B. The hitman, a great stalwart previously appears not to get as many passes to take a shot.
Anyone else notice this?

Interesting that this was streamed live on YouTube. Wonder how the YouTube stream compared to the livebasketball.tv stream for the same game - presumably they have the same source.

Donte just seems to take less shots in general I think but if Duece is getting 30 a night then I get it. Joonas thumb maybe still not 100% as well hence the less looks?

Or maybe they will just stream every game on YouTube, since livebasketball.tv don't have exclusive rights.

The Perform Group contract, and therefore LiveBasketball.TV, still has 3 more seasons to run. There’s no doubt that streaming every game on YouTube will better grow the leagues following, but it would also devalue the Perform Group deal which brings in a lots of money for the BBL, so it’s unlikely. Maybe the BBL are contemplating occasion games on YouTube to compliment the LiveBasketball.TV and BBC coverage... like we had on UNILAD’s Facebook page last year?

Maybe the BBL are contemplating occasion games on YouTube to compliment the LiveBasketball.TV and BBC coverage... like we had on UNILAD’s Facebook page last year? So, how much money do you think the BBL make from livebasketball.tv? Directly? I suspect noting. But it’s not really about LiveBasketball.TV, it’s more about the Perform Group deal. The BBL and Perform Group are about half way through a 6 year contract which sees Perform manage the ‘distribution and sale of all global media related rights’. I don’t know the details but presumably the BBL and Perform share (don’t ask me what the split is!) any profits made. And in the absence of any major broadcaster bidding for exclusive BBL rights (hardly surprising) Perform use the rights to make some money by streaming all games on their own LiveBasketball.TV service, which presumably the BBL profit from. If the BBL were to then essentially give away these rights for free, by streaming every game for free on YouTube, then it makes the Perform Group deal worthless. Anyway, I can see you raised this in the BBL on TV thread, which is probably a more appropriate thread, so let’s continue the discussion there.
