Sorry to start the thread with comments on a team not in the final, but what’s going on at Sevenoaks? The only team to be undefeated in the league, and their only losses are when it’s counted the most – the Cup final and the Trophy semi-final. Can they not perform under pressure?
Anyway, Riders are clear favourites for me here.

LT ... to be fair ... The cup was decided in the dying seconds of the game ... To be honest, it could have gone either way (good game) as for the trophy, I think Suns just underestimated Riders ... also, as we know ... anything can happen in overtime !! Riders will indeed be favorites (league position doesn't lie) ... but as I'v said before, anything can happen in a one off game !! Should be a good day out . What would be funny Ironic is if the Woman's final turns out to be more entertaining than the Men's ... AGAIN !!

I think the irony is that the men's game is given top billing. The main event, if you like, but is actually shown up by the games before it.

The WBBL Cup final was certainly more exciting than the BBL Cup final, although as things turned out I was quite happy with that. But I think it was clear there was a possibility that would be a case just going by the fixtures. The Trophy final fixtures seem to suggest the WBBL game could be quite one-sided whereas the BBL game could be quite exciting (as you say, league position don’t lie). But of course anything can happen on the day.

Well done Lady Riders ... Well played Durham Very erratic game at times, thought Riders had it in the bag after the 1st Qtr. Durham kept coming back, making it a close game. last few minutes were tense (good for the fans) Next stop ... Men's Final

Got to have a look at this on catch-up, looks like another tight game for a WBBL final... Was hoping for Durham to pull it off - I like a surprise winner - but congratulations to Riders, and both teams for putting on a show!

Hope Holly Winterburn's okay. Looked like a nasty injury initially, and always scary when the player's pounding the ground in pain and frustration after it happens. Hopefully just a bad sprain rather than an Achilles tear. Would undoubtedly prefer not to start her college career at Oregon with months of rehab.
