I’ve never understood why the league has no naming partner? Even if it’s a modestly sized company. Clearly the days of Budweiser are long gone but if semi pro football leagues can generate some income through the likes of Bostik then surely BBL can?

Had to go and look up Benecos (didn't know who-what they are) ... but I do now  Well done BBL ... Can only be good news for the BBL in general, I suppose !! |

Agreed, although I don't understand the relevance of German skincare products to the BBL - perhaps they know something we don't about the typical Whatsbev skin complexion ??

Great to see this kind of sponsorship deal for the BBL again. Anything that brings in a bit of money must be a good thing for the league. I too admit I had no idea what ‘Benecos’ was, so I had to google it. Now I know (so I guess the sponsorship has worked on me!). Expect to see pliantly of moisturise samples being handed out at the O2 next month! I will agree that it would have been nice to have a sponsor with a little more relevance, but maybe that’ll come in time. The BBL has had quite a variation of sponsors over the years… Budweiser, Uni-Ball, Dairylea Dunkers etc. And do I remember Playboy sponsoring the league for a short while?!  |

I suppose it was a different time… I don’t think we’re likely to see the ‘BabeStation London Lions’ for example these days. I suspect the BBL would veto any sponsorship like this even if the team were aright with it. |
