Most Improved Player - Tim Williams (must be most improved based on his first 4 to 6 weeks! Lol)
Club MVP - JR Holder (this is the big one to win as it comes with a valuable watch donated by Lumbers the sponsor)
I wasn't there - so the above from twitter.
We normally have a fans player of the season as well - but that's not been on twitter. Would imagine that's got Conner's name all over it!
We tend to give awards to players we aim to keep next season

I hear rrumours that some Riders players want to move to London for more money. If I were them, I would stay put and be happy to be getting paid.

My first reaction was that I'm not sure that JR was this season's MVP; I don't think he reached the performances that we know he's capable of and have seen in the past. But I guess he has been pretty much ever present when the team has changed a lot around him and there were times when he did play at a high standard. Happy to see Williams, Washington, Anderson and Ward-Hibbert being recognised as they really developed as a good, solid core. And I suppose you couldn't really say that any of them, or Hampton or Thomson, could justifiably be said to be MVP.
This off-season's rebuild is going to be interesting. Are we looking at a completely new set of imports? I guess so.

It's more the players they don't acknowledge with an award that I read into Hassan when top scorer got nothing. You just knew he was on his way out. |
