Good signing was hoping he would stay as one 1. He's no longer a rookie and has that experience of the league 2. Had a full pre season so could hit the ground running!! But I wish him all the best got himself a deal in a competitive market!

I must confess that when I saw the Header that Mr.Tall used, I was hoping for Donte Nicholas! Payne didn't make a huge impression from what I saw of him live and on LBTV. But I'm encouraged the Raiders faithful seem to like him. What would Raiders fans describe as his strengths, and his style of play?

I rated him as a player. He got stronger / better as the season went on. He bailed us out of the **** in a few games and I would’ve liked to see him re-sign at Plymouth. Hopefully PJ has replaced him with an upgrade. Did PJ want him back but Rocks offered a better deal / more cash? Maybe Payne didn’t enjoy his time at Plymouth and didn’t want to return? Guess we will never know.

At first i was a bit meh with this one. Then i thought he was 3rd option on a raiders team whos offence focused on hassan and nicholas. Hes our final import ans im still a bit perplexed by the mix of our squad. Im guessing coach will utlise his euro slots but will have to wait and see. If he averages 12pts again he will be an improvement on last years 2 guard.

Personally though I found him streaky too capable of getting really hot and his shot would fall but could really struggle but did contribute other things ie rebounds when the shots weren't falling, I think they've seen enough to suggest he's going to make that leap year two!
