I understand that budgets are a factor of course but what did Einstein say the definition of insanity is? Repeating the same mistakes and expecting a different result! WE NEED A NEW COACH! Who’s to say that a new coach couldn’t come in with a different recruitment philosophy and better contacts thats more successfully able to work within that budget, because frankly Atiba has proven a multitude of times that he in incapable of putting together a good team. I did consider doing a bit of digging for a while in response, checking facts and figure, but I really thought it wasn't worth it. If you don't like someone or something it doesnt matter what's thrown your way, you're not going to change your mind. Instead I'll briefly repeat myself. I feel that for the last few years, under Atiba's stewardship and before, that we have had a very good starting 5 that could compete fully against any others starting 5. Some may argue that we depended too much on some of those 5, William's and Alexander last year. Nothing wrong with Atiba's recruitment there. Turned up some excellent players. The issue for me is when you look beyond the starters and the bench. That is where we are not good enough and where we also have bench warmers from SHU. Performances from the bench have let us down time and time again, some really poor stats against others this last season. We have more often than not been in games only to get into foul trouble or suffer with injuries and then.. our bench cant compete. I sincerely put this down to budget and not recruitment. The last 2 seasons we have been in a healthy position in the league only to lose Tuck for the cwg and injury. These have resulted to a plumpet in league position. However we still managed to reach a final and a semi. Not bad for a poor team. I must admit the 5 players announced don't give me the feeling that we are going to maintain a challenge for the league, but if some how they add depth then maybe we can be competitive.

Pure negativity down in Yorkshire. Over the years Leicester have been known and some say a reason for their success for retaining a number of players who can deliver albeit not league leading but fill minutes all the way down to tenth man. Sharks have stated this is their intention and looking at it are so far keeping to the promise. 5 signings so far I feel are useful and can contribute, albeit not spectacular yet but it's too early to right off them off. I mean think of us poor Worcester fans snd the London and Surrey clubs right now. Just typical of every year I have been following basketball.I just seeing the sharks as getting what they need to done. Surely 'Up' in Yorkshire. Don't want to be negative about this. Down in Yorkshire for us..

Down in Yorkshire for us.. For you yes. Where is Dazzle from? It's all reletive, I was reading it as it come from further south than Yorkshire therefore it would be 'up'. We are definitely down from Glasgow;-)

Everyone appears to be signing players. Some appear to be really good. Are we signing anyone...ever?

Colin Sings song is sung I’m afraid. Thank Goodness for that ! See now I think its a crime that the general perception of Colin is that he was useless and people are glad he isn't around any more.
He's legitimately 6'7'' - not the American coming over here 6'7'' - could pass dribble and shoot, athletic, not stupid at all (his IQ was pretty decent), was an out and out 2 guard at GB U20s and let me tell you from experience the guy could absolutely play. I'd say he was and could have been better than 40% of the Brits currently playing in the league (his potential far outweighed Jamell Anderson about 10 years ago).
His down side was that he was too laid back, was prepared to accept whatever people told him to do and by the end was more focused (probably rightly) on teacher training than he was basketball.
Atiba played him as a forward - first problem. Never lit the fire up his arse, never gave him license to actually express himself and completely mismanaged him to the point where he literally didn't give a rats arse by the end - like I say rightly so as well.
Colin didn't let anyone down the way I see it - British basketball failed him completely. And I guess he's one in a long line this has happened to.

Sharks aren't renowned for announcing signings early; the resigning are about it and not unexpected.
There have been 2 deaths in the Sharks family since the play off final. Don't think hitting the head lines months before the start of the season is the main priority at the mo. Stick to the annoucements a couple of weeks before.
I for one wouldn't mind Zac as a bench player. Think we missed his energy and intensity off the bench last season.

I'd love Zak to comeback if only for the hersey and his "friend" arguments to continue
