its been officially announced that Jamel Anderson has resigned to the Riders,
Great to have Jamel back he started to improve drastically after a bit of a slump, Good to have a strong British core back.

Both of them know the riders system inside out now Both of them finished last season really strong Both of them fit enough to play far more minutes for us if needed as well Two very solid GB signings. Great to have them both on board.

Medication please.......Seriously, I see Riders quietly assembling a really good squad with a healthy mix of returning talent and experience together with the new - which is precisely what we used to do in Newcastle. They will be difficult to beat.

You've had the Williams brothers and Defoe and Lasker in comparison Different stages of their career etc and different level of athleticism etc

Every team in the bbl would have done anything to have Defoe and Lasker for the last 10 years. I’d go as far as saying the same for the Williams brothers too, perhaps minus Jamal last year but i’d still take him over any 9th/10th man in the league...

Lasker is still a player who can offer a lot to any BBL team.

I’d go as far as saying the same for the Williams brothers too, perhaps minus Jamal last year but i’d still take him over any 9th/10th man in the league... Defoe and Lasker for sure. But they aren't the same players they were even 5 years ago. At a time when we recognise other teams have improved around the BBL - these two inevitably can no longer contribute to a team or season like they could in their prime. Both bench players now at their age but no doubt taking big salaries for what they can contribute. It's hard to replace them for sure but they are a weakness as well as an asset now for Eagles IMO. The Williams brothers. Again won't be cheap and Jamal for sure is not the player he once was. Again around him in BBL things have improved whilst he through injury has gone backwards inevitably. He's also a weakness as much as an asset. Kai - someone pointed out a while ago he's a liability defensively and you can't help but notice that when you watch him now. Now all four above are Brits - all on the decline. Add in Fab to that mix and there's another player (when he plays) on the decline. 5 players above last season - who won't be cheap options. It's not like decent money isn't being spent at Eagles. But is it being spent on the right players to compete in the here and now? Eagles are an elderly team with injury issues who want to play an intensive game but IMO don't have the young and athletic players to deliver it. They've got Fletch though ready and waiting to deliver with the right players around him Let's see what the latest rebuild brings him

I'm not sure the Williams brothers are as expensive as you think they are..
