As a basketball fan of mainly bbl and nba, I don't really follow the nbl but after reading a quote from.coach k in which he would like to bring through more players from the nbl it got me thinking why don't we see more stepping up and getting big minutes in the bbl? For example the raiders have Wilcher but there doesn't seem two many? Look at aj Roberts he didn't get to much burn at London royals

I did it and look how that worked out.
Genuinely got complaints for kids eyes stinging.

Zak Wells, Josh Steel & Jesse Chuku all played in D1 for Leopards as youngsters. Can't remember if Robert Gilchrist has played BBL but he was with us, as well. Albert Margai left Leopards to join Scorchers. Pretty sure James & Callum Jones played D1 for Magic. Wolves & Flyers both kept a core when they moved from D1 to BBL. Likewise Ibrahim Gariba & Santa Ataha stayed with Capital when they moved up, there may have been more.
But, yes, it's a big gap in class. Probably a two-division jump in reality.

He was one of the younger Barking Abbey players and played mainly in D4. It was also seven years ago. In short, dunno.
I missed Dave Buchberger (Mersey Tigers) from my list of former Leopards. Both the import players we had in 2011/12 (Ousman Krubally & Veron Teal carved out decent careers at a higher level than the BBL. I just wish we'd had a fully fit team when we played the four BBL Trophy games against Lions and Riders that season.
also missed out EJ Harrison, possibly the most successful NBL-BBL import

Deantone Beasley Jamie Burchell Todd Cetnar Rod Wellington Dean William's
That's just to name a few

Beas' was a great bloke. Always a decent quote when I was doing the BBL website. Same with Gary Stronach, polar opposite of dealing with Love.

Coaches college now, beas that is. Working his way up the ranks. One or my all time favourites
