Announcing ten players at once is a terrible plan for building pre-season hype and extending out the story to keep trying to tack on ticket sales to each signing. By announcing the whole roster at once they're resigning themselves to a social media silence for the three weeks plus.
You've got ten players to announce, announce two per week, push ticket sales alongside each one. push the "we're now up to 3/4/5/6/7 players!" route as it grows.
This is lazy.

Haven't they sold out there arena for 18 straight months? Dont think they need to worry about building a buzz. I agree it doesnt do much for the fans to build excitement tho

I suspect they will drag out the announcement over about two weeks - which is what they usually do. Good to know they have 10 signings though

Be great to see him at All Stars again That was the funny thing about last years Allstars. Williams has the afternoon of his life, carries Scorchers through to winning then clears off after a few weeks. Suppose he did his job, not only earned them a few bob for winning that competition but also got them an invite to this years competition despite being awful for large parts of the season. |

The all star event now just ends up showing me how poor the rocks roster is. We will end up on the wrong side of the refs forgetting the rules (again) and not win a single match

people saying it lazy that SURREY SCORCHERS GOING to announce the 10 players for new season , why is it lazy surely any supporters would like to know who returning and who gone, any new players joining

It's just not a good media strategy if that was the case. If it's being extended out over a longer period then my comments are invalid. |
