With Mo Walker and now this guy, looks like this year could be the season when teams go big. Wonder what others will do.

Who has the balls to handle Koch? Tough match up, Koch is long with a good stroke, finishes hard at the hole...

I thinks it's great to have another Big Koch in the league, I wonder if hell do as much damage as Big Willie inside

Looking at the vid he looks a good signing but then again everyone looks good on a put together edited tape.
I did like his pick n roll. Block shots too, something that will go down well with the fans but I'm afraid they could go down to how my friends call them. I hope he can get on with them and adjust to calls.
Looking forward to seeing him play in a game.

Good to see Atiba bring in a permit big guy. Last season saw the 3 permits used up on guards / small forwards leaving Tuck & Marsden exposed against better balanced teams.
Stats in the Dutch league aren’t great and I don’t believe it’s any stronger than the BBL which is a worry. Trevor Setty putting up similar numbers in Holland over the last couple of years to those he did in the BBL previously.
With two of the Van Oostrum brothers playing in Holland, hopefully Sharks have used their connections and unearthed a good one.
Final import will need to be an out and out scorer as I fear that there’s a lack of points on the roster as it stands.

I closely followed the Dutch league last season and the top 3/4 teams teams are excellent, some doing very well in the Euroleague and far better than BBL standards. The other teams, including the windmills which this dude played for (finishing bottom) are similar to BBL standards and lower in some cases. I don’t however remember seeing much of him last season so he either didn’t stand out for me or spent time on the bench or injured

Voise: Thanks for update on Devon, hopefully he’ll do well in what I believe is a better standard league.
The Dutch teams look to have been in the Europe Cup last season, same as Leicester, and although they progressed further the results don’t seem to indicate a huge step up from the top of the BBL

Saw Koch play twice last year in Holland (obviously not a huge sample size), but can say this signing wouldn’t overly excite me personally. He was mediocre and didn’t have too much of an impact in the games I saw. However, that doesn’t mean he’s going to be a bad signing for the Sharks in a new system that could suit him better. Apparently averaged 6 points and 4 rebounds last year, which certainly didn’t set the league alight by any stretch.
Comparatively, BBL journeyman Trevor Setty has settled well out in Holland, consistently averaging around 15 points 7 rebounds and 2/3 assists across 2 and half seasons.
As a benchmark I wouldn’t say that the mid-table Dutch teams are miles ahead in terms of ability- but the coaching and understanding of the game is better out there.
