Anyone know why there's such a deafening silence from Lions re their team roster for the 2019-20 season? So far it looks as if Peel is their only official announcement, doesn't it? Surely they want to build interest around their team for selling tickets?

Hadn't occurred to me but that makes a lot of sense if they already knew something was brewing at Royals. |

Neighbour already signed
Washpun already signed
Ash and MBA probably out of everyones price range
Dang Akodo yeah sure
The rest were just average or below average bbl bench players

Salary isn't the only draw for a player.......sometimes it's the whole package..... Wasn't it you who said MBA was going north? MBA has been part of the Riders Jump-10 team this summer Just saying....... |

I've given up worrying about announcing the roster, Lions rarely announce anything early, it's ridiculous but there you go! I'm sure the majority were agreed ages ago. |

BK Ventspils (LBL) agreed terms with 26-year old American point guard Wes Washpun (185-79kg-93, college: N.Iowa, agency: Two Points).
Washpun played last season at London City Royals in British BBL league. In 13 games he had very impressive stats: 16.2ppg, 5.2rpg, 4.5apg and 1.6spg. He helped them to make it to the final. Washpun also played for Aaguacateros (LNBP) in Mexican league where in two games he recorded 11.0ppg, 1.5rpg, 3.5apg and 2.0spg.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Washpun's college team won MVC Tournament for two years in a row (2015 and 2016). He was also voted All-MVC 2nd Team back in 2016.
Washpun has played previously professionally in Germany (EnBW Ludwigsburg) and NBA G League (Iowa Wolves).
He attended University of Northern Iowa until 2016 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player.

In know in some previous seasons the team has been set for quite some time before announcements are made. I'm guessing that Joe & Andre will be back, along with Brandon. Apart from that who knows?? How much money are Royals prepared to throw at Justin to tempt him away? Have Flo and Paul got another year in them? I'm presuming we'll have 2 new Americans |
