So this is one of the strangest social media post of the pre season so far.
The Nix squad out for a team meal, fairly standard, then Lee Latchford Evans of Steps fame stood in the middle!
Also seems James Brice is back with the team. Anyone closer to the club know what happened with James as he seemed to disappear without much word. Would be good for the club to improve communication with fans on things like this.

I thought James was better best forgotten if I’m honest. Anybody seen our new kit, looks a deeper shade of blue to me?

What 90s social media would have looked like.

At least Lee Latchford Evans doesn't take a US spot in the squad, he's claiming to be in Eurosteps..

You don't want to know. Trust me... That comment has probably had the adverse effect! The point is we do. The idea that fans of the club don't want to know or can't cope with the internal politics or whatever else may be effecting personnel changes is laughable. I'm not suggesting everything should be public knowledge but if the gm leaves the club or returns to the club it would be nice to have some communication to explain the situation to fans. After all building and maintaining a fan base is crucial to growing the club as a whole.

His absence wasn't team related if that is of any comfort.

I do believe it was for personal reasons and personal means personal I certainly wouldn't want my personal reasons blasted all over here the club is moving upwards yet people still want to find some garbage

TBH I have had quite a few chats with quite a few people, I agree personal is personal, I didn't ask about the issue and no-one told me perhaps I'm not nosy enough!! But nice to have him back in the club whatever.

I completely agree that personal reasons should remain so, the few times I talked to James he seemed like a really nice guy and trying to do a good job with the club, I'm pleased to see him back and I hope whatever situation caused him to take time off is resolved as far as possible.
I think the wider point though that the club could improve their communications with fans is valid, as someone who has been to most home games over the last few years there are often changes that aren't well communicated even for regular fans. This is definitely improving but in the interests of improving the club in and off court it is an area for possible improvement. I understand volunteers do a lot of work for the club and they do a fantastic job, but if we want to grow and compete with Leicester, Newcastle etc there needs to be good principals in place for important issues such as fan communication.
Wanting to know more about the club isn't nosey or looking for garbage at all, certainly not from my personal viewpoint. It's about feeling engaged and valued by the club which ultimately makes for a solid loyal fan base.
Sorry for the lengthy post, welcome back James, looking forward to the new season to start!
