Only time I will use it is when the Eagles are playing away which is great for me so happy it’s free and don’t have to watch the crappy feed on LBTV and pay for it.
Will still attend every home game and watch the repeat of the stream on YouTube after if it’s on.

Only thoughts from me on this are, is the league losing a revenue stream via the loss of LiveBasketball?

Only thoughts from me on this are, is the league losing a revenue stream via the loss of LiveBasketball? I can't imagine the league is losing much of a revenue stream, and as a consumer the new product surely can't be worse? And I get to save a tenner a month which I promise to give to the Eagles to help fund the Paternostro transfer fund

You know what, it opens the league up to new viewers who may not have a clue about British basketball or where to find it but may want to.
I think its great news, I'll certainly be watching as much of it as I can.

Plus its available on delay which is perfect for me - means I can watch after the family have gone to bed.
Great news

Good move I think. I suspect the revenue for livebasketball wasn't great. Youtube is a huge platform, if they can connect with the audience - you can run paid marketing campaign for relatively small budgets - it could really help grow the BBL.
Plus, I can watch away games for free!

Really glad to see coverage move to a more accessible platform, people seemed much happier with the YT coverage last year compared to LB. Adding catch-up is a huge improvement, one of the biggest drawbacks of the LB coverage for me. I’m intrigued by the ‘magazine-style’ show too, which I’ve wanted to see for some time. I think something that combines game highlights with the kind of coverage we’ve been getting from Makem Takem, FBBL, etc would really help newcomers to the sport/UK game. MVP has an article on it too, mentioning the use of the new robotic cameras across the league, and that WBBL games in suitable venues may also be streamed selectively. There’s also talk of a potential TV deal under discussion, maybe Channel 4. www.mvp247.com/2019/09/league-youtube-tv/

Thank God for that, livebasketball.tv was absolute unwatchable trash, plus removing a paywall can only be a good thing in terms of exposure to casual fans.

Perfect for the league and passer bys. Youtube games being rewatchable later on is the big one for me. Channel 4 is intriguing they've definitely got a lot more sport on their channel.

A victory for common sense. I doubt that the BBL made any cash from livebasketball.tv.

Will watch loads of other clubs' games as well as all the Riders away games too. (Not forgetting re-watching our home games!) Why wouldn't anyone welcome this news? Brilliant.

Firstly, Hi All, as my name suggests, I’m a new fan to the game and looking forward to getting to watch the Lions this season.
As for this news, on a personal note, I’m pleased as it means that I can watch games from home at no cost. I had no idea there was a subscription site before this news broke and I would have probably been reluctant to pay anything to watch a sport I’m relatively new to, whereas I can watch a lot more with this deal that’s in place and understand the game and the teams a little more without an extra cost, which is huge for me, as I’m not buying a season ticket for a sport I’m a new fan of and the ticket prices are £20+ a go and I’m unlikely to attend many games due to personal finances.
It’s all well and good having games shown for free but people need to know that this is out there and there needs to be a big marketing and advertising push out there for to promote this deal and the league.

Just a thought, we can now watch a home game, complain about all the poor referee decisions ( Dyb Dyb are you reading this?) then go home and re run all those decisions again with the benefit of pause and rewind. Hmmmmm so will that prove what sort of awful job the refs are doing......or perhaps we get to spot after the third or fourth re run that the ref were correct after all. Will be interesting to prove that I as a spectator sitting far away at the back of the seats have always called it correctly. Perhaps not!!!
