BBL games should not finish like that There can`t be any good reason for poor communication between table and coach Who is to blame ? Does this happen in Plymouth or is it the Surrey coach I`m thinking Plymouth table officials Views ?

Creon presumably called a timeout based on Raiders scoring, they got a foul and went to the line and the timeout was called. Creon made it clear he didn't want it but they went ahead anyway. When he complained he got his 2nd tech foul. To me they should have cancelled the timeout as soon as it began, but I wasn't there nor do I know the rules!!

If you ask for a timeout you cant cancel it once the officials give it. I'll watch later tho and see it

I've seen coaches do it a lot, although I don't know how it technically fits within the rules. Of course I don't technically know if he asked for one in the first place, just what I can guess from YouTube.

I was sat on the stage behind him and he called for the time out and at no point did I see him try to cancel it.

He did try to cancel it once it had already been called for by him! The cheerleaders were already on the court and he got his knickers in a twist when they wouldn’t cancel it after he had already requested it! I was at the game and had a very clear view!

He did try to cancel it once it had already been called for by him! Obviously. You can't attempt to cancel a time out before you call for it. Unless you have a time machine?

If you read what I was saying... the time out was called by him. I was stating my response to the question as to who was to blame! Cheers for the sarcastic comment though 👍🏼

Bad situation that completely spoiled a close competitive game for me as a neutral not a good advert so coach needs to reflect and stay in control then Shame

Watching raiders today any team with Josh and Hassan are always going to be a handful and a fringe play off team the key to the raiders this year is who will step up tyrell and kostas look ok and will be solid bbl players
How successful this year is will depend on the jumps
Tola denzil theo and isa can be can they come off the bench and keep the scoreboard ticking and make up for the loss of production that Josh and Hassan lose when they are on the bench!

Your comment can totally be read in the way that I replied to it though to be fair.

For information, the table is appointed centrally by the league rather than the club.
The rule on timeouts state that a coach cannot ask for a “conditional timeout”, I.e. “I only want a timeout on a score.” Coaches should ask for a timeout and then can cancel it at any time before the horn is sounded if they don’t want it. They cannot cancel a timeout after the horn, and the timeout must be given.
I wasn’t there today so can’t comment on the specific incident, but that is the known, established rule the issue is centred on.
Hope that helps!

Looks like the table/refs got it right then and Creon had nothing to complain about.

Watched the game late.
Surrey were really good at passing. That sounds like a stupid thing to say but watching them give up good shots for better ones over and over again really was great to watch

Apparently him suiting up is a touch and go, with a replacement already being signed?
