Please God, don't let us have any more injuries! Read that post and thought it was from a Nix fan. Same situation as ours, we were down to 6 regular players against the Eagles. We could always make it a 3 V 3 competition Friday night. Thought we'd seen enough of Riders for now........then I looked at the All stars draw!

What better way to gain your first win. than away to Riders. I honestly don't remember Ben Mockford playing at Plymouth and don't follow there GB team so rally no insight as to his ability. Judging from comments on the board he looks like a useful acquisition. Feel sorry for the young lad cut and genuinely hope he can pick up a role somewhere. Mr Mockford comes good and we get people back from injury we will be ok. Just wonder what other people think but thought we needed more in hte front court than back court.

Just a note to all fans going to the game - Riders have emailed season ticket holders to say that parking will be more difficult tonight around the arena owing to Navrati festival celebrations close to the hall which will put added pressure on parking facilities. Get there early or be prepared to walk further.

It'll be interesting to see how Zoran Talley plays tonight after the slating he got on here when he was on court against Eagles last week. He's had a week to settle in and practise with the team so it'll be an opportunity to judge him more fairly than when he was thrown into the thick of things having barely landed in the UK.

I agree hopefully tonight will be a truer reflection of his Zoran's talents. Will no doubt be under more pressure to perform now given the Walker situation

I'm sure Talley will be just fine if Leicester keep him and don't try to replace him with someone who can really replace Walker.

Great start from Nix, fantastic 3 point shooting. Commentators very impressed with Nix shooters of Sayers, PJ-JC and Movkford.........no mention at all of Latinovic ( 48% shooting last season).

Where is IRF? I know I’ve missed something somewhere but I also kind of miss his ramblings. Riders need another big man in asap, they’ve got some quality but also some gaps

Looks like Rob P is missing IRF as well - Riders plumbed the full depth of their bench but are clearly struggling with IRFexit

Don’t worry, Riders fans, all will be well. Rob improves his teams game by game and they will still sweep all before them.
To be fair, they were hampered tonight by the Cartwright injury. Hope he’s OK - he is a delight to watch. Interesting that Rob decided to bench Lascelles and not to use Scott after that injury. Not a big vote of confidence.
I suspect changes will soon be afoot. Riders need a big and one or two of the summer recruits should be worried.

Now the result tonight really doesn't matter. The only thing I'm interested in is how Kyron Cartwright is. Just fingers crossed it doesn't end up being as bad as it looked. Pretty depressing to watch 30 points 15 rebounds and 10 assists hobble out of the arena on crutches after seeing your team struggle to get past 50.

What a totally disillusioning evening one of the poorest performances for some time. We were pretty awful before cartwright went down. Says a lot that Rob went with Roberts in the 4th with lascelles and talley no where to be seen.
Best wishes to ky hope to see you back on the court soon

Only positive is Roberts looks good enough to keep Lascelles on the bench.
I'd be looking to make atleast two changes if we want to challenge for any silverware.
Hoping Ky is back soon, because we look lost without him on the court.

Super depressing performance in terms of offence. Intensity on defence only turned up in Q2 whereas Nix stuck to our players like super glue from the tipoff. They deserved their win. Fear for Cartwright because that looked very bad. Two on crutches now. Better buy some more from Amazon before we run out.

Low scoring game, Riders never recovered from leaving Nix open to shoot threes at the start. Damage done by Super Sayers hitting 3x3 meant much closer marking needed, left enough room for everyone else. Poor performance from Riders but great defence from Nix, covering each other and when they got past big Mike, Jalan was able to take the high rebounds and Dizzy, ( fresh from his "play of the week" success) hoovered everything else up lower down. Much more optomistic about the coming season. Let's start with the All Stars tomorrow, 5 points a pop for long range shooting, 10 for the buzzer, simples!! See you there!!

Given our coach had highlighted on the club's FB page the need to shut down or contain your shooters from the tipoff I was surprised at how open many of your early 3 point shots were. Even then, your shooters were spot on in Q1 and Nix deservedly took the lead. We couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo even without being closely marked (which we were) and the difference was stark. Thank God Latinovic wasn't also fit or it would have been even more depressing for Riders. Congratulations on the win.

It looked to a few of us as if Rob was pointing towards the floor where those intro fireworks were and maybe mentioning the fact that maybe the slippy floor could have been a factor towards Cartwrights fall and injury, Don’t think we’ll be seeing any more of those fireworks. Nix’s fully deserved their victory as we were woeful.
