Looks like Mo Walker is ruled out for the whole season according to his Instagram after surgery on his torn hamstring. Massive blow! @bigggmo

One of the hardest players for Riders to replace. Dont get many british bigs at this level.

They've got so much depth it doesn't matter. Rob can just absorb the loss and his players play in a system that makes sure it wont matter.
That statement isn't as funny now IRF isn't around.

I reckon Talley's vulnerable now unless he's an absolute beast in the low post. We have a lot of players like him - need bigger.
The curse of Morningside Arena strikes yet again.

I mean I think its harsh to say he looked lost against Newcastle with only two days practice since arriving in England but of the three Americans he's definitely the most vulnerable as Wright and especially Cartwright are putting up good numbers/contributions.
Nothing to say of course that they couldn't just go and get a Euro big. Walker wont have come cheap so presumably there's budget there for it.

Oh, and Bryan Amaning isn't doing anything if you're up for a personality vacuum.

Anybody Got Billy Reader or Liam Potters number...... What's Losonsky at? I thought I saw he had signed a two season deal but not sure where, He’d be expensive as he’d want to bring his wife and daughter with him.

Where's Creekmore when you need him ... is he still even playing? Japan last year (he'll be making good money out there).
Cant find trace of him on here.

Wouldn't be the start of a BBL season without Riders taking at least one colossal kick in the **** would it? Was looking more and more likely with every passing week but still a major setback. Only positive is that Walker will likely have been on pretty good money so we should be able to add without subtraction here, assuming of course that we can actually find a suitable non-American replacement.
This does maybe put a little more pressure on Talley to hit the ground running but for me the guy who's most under the cosh right now is Scott. Played every game so far by my reckoning and has made little to no impression in any of them. And with Ward-Hibbert stepping up the way he has and Wright performing well he's looking a little surplus to requirements to me anyway. Regardless of how we go about replacing Walker, I think you could very easily argue that Scott's slot could be put to better use on a different kind of player. Maybe a combo guard (Scott has been used in that sort of role a bit but isn't a natural fit). Maybe even another big (in addition to Walker's replacement).
One way or another, I get the feeling we'll be seeing some chopping and changing at Riders before too long... Despite the fact that most of the guys who've actually suited up for us thus far have performed well.

Personally MBA isn't a bad shout!! Certainly would show us robs coaching ability if he could get him to fit into his system

Did I hear Mark Woods say today that Kyron Cartwright is out for the season as well? Torn ACL?
