Video clip from Coach Paternostro which is somewhat positive, i.e. looks as if they'll both be able to play for the club again this season whereas it didn't look too hopeful at the time. Hopefully, they'll be back on court soon. More interesting what's going to happen re Mo Walker's slot. www.facebook.com/ridersbball/videos/534048650744246/

He sounds pretty chipper about the current situation.
Anyways, Riders will be fine, they always come good in the second part of the season.

Just to up the positivity quota.......
"No timetable has been set for return for Ward-Hibbert or Cartwright however neither will undergo surgery after positive MRI results earlier this week. "
Also, its six weeks until the league starts........

And lucky for them we're only playing for the Cup right now, so being without some of their big players won't impact their League chances as it would have this time last season.

It’s especially not good to see Ward-Hibbert go down with an injury this early in the season when he was making the most of his increased role and playing time (in my opinion it’s been long overdue). An injury like that can’t be legislated for.
Regarding Walker, the Riders would/ should have known about his injury situation before they signed him to start the season. It was reported in France that he was carrying a hamstring injury. Did they not do their homework or did they take a gamble and hope it wouldn’t require surgery and that he would be fit to start the league season in November?
In my opinion the only reason a player with Cartwright’s ability is actually playing in the BBL is because he’s injury prone and coming off the back of not playing for 2/3 of a season for that very reason. He started the season well in Hungary last year and was released just before Christmas due to picking up a serious injury in training I believe. I feel for him as I’m sure he would have wanted to play a full season to showcase his abilities and potentially play back in a Euro competition. Again, I’m sure Riders would have been well aware of his injury past before inking him this season.

Always a concern. Top quality players turning up in the BBL quite often bring baggage of some sort with them ( or in some cases a protective boot with them). With PJC ( life's too short for his full name to be typed ) looks really special just hoping recovery from previous injuries mean we have the pleasure of watching all season.

Josh is expected to be out for a couple of weeks. Cartwright has bone bruising, so similar or maybe slightly longer.

From looking at the image posted by Riders I think it was non contact. But I didn't even expect to see that so soon after what looked like a very bad injury.
