Really looking forward to this game after the excellent win at Glasgow at the weekend. Had further training time to integrate the new American into how we play.

I'm hoping that we maintain the intensity on defence tonight. Re-watched the Rocks game and that was a lesson in how to shut down the opposition.

Chuku with 10 from 10 field goal attempts - is that a misprint ?

Nope Jesse made everything tonight
Riders strongest line up of the season with ky back and darien settling in nicely, leading to a very comfortable win.

Dickerson was a handful but Giants were short handed and pretty much doomed after Q1. Chuku's proving his worth and a recovering Cartwright was excellent with his passing. Good to see him back. Scott's also showing why he was hired and the 3s are starting to drop. Dieterich did very well too. A win with no obvious injuries incurred. Good night.

Especially given that a couple of weeks ago we thought we may have lost him for the season, that was one helluva performance from Cartwright. I'm beginning to think he's the best PG Riders have had in the years I've been going to see them.

Definitely the best PG passer of a ball. Lightning fast and able to fool defences with his no look deliveries and surprising choices. Riders players have to have their wits about them!

The Giants player Mulmore was really entertaining......
At 1m 24secs into the game he already had three fouls.
Fouled out after only playing for just over 11 mins.
He had 16% FG
and lead his team with 4 turnovers.
Anyone know why James Jones got his "T" after some words with the commentating Anthony Rowe?

I especially loved his deja vu moment of repeating his charging foul seconds after incurring one against Cartwright.

I'm beginning to think he's the best PG Riders have had in the years I've been going to see them. Wouldn't trade him for any other PG in the league. Not just because he's good but because he's so much fun to watch. We see plenty of guards in this league who can score but relatively few who can put on a show passing the ball the way he can. Amazed he's back so soon. Personally I'd be wrapping him in cotton wool until at least the knockout stages. But if he really is 100% again already (and he looked that way Saturday) then I guess he's going to want to get back out there. Seems like someone who really enjoys playing the game. Why is Mo Walker still here? I hope this isn't another player we're going to be paying to not play for us for months on end?

Maybe trying to keep him sweet for next year, although its one hell of an expensive way of doing it.

I'm sure I was watching a game the other week when it said Mo Walker was on a 3 year contract for whatever contracts are worth these days.

Completely agree about Cartwright. Absolutely love watching him. As far as I'm concerned he's the most exciting player we've had for years. In a very different way to Trayvonn but Cartwright for me is amazing to watch.
Re Walker it was mentioned (I think in the paper) that they were looking at an extension to keep him around for a while. Basically looking at taking the hit this year but hoping that he will be around for a few years after that. Not sure if anything has been confirmed but it sounded like it was happening in the article I read. Although I know contracts in the bbl are not always worth the paper they're written on so god knows what will happen.

Maybe hes going to fill on the gamble role? In sure he did a huge amount of community coaching. Having walker do that so he can still earn a wage, have the opportunity to train when fit and be with the club is a fantastic option
