Intriguing prospect this one. Can't quite make my mind up who'll come out winners.

So we've gone from 0/4 to 3/4 away from home. All we need to do is win at home a couple of times and we should make the cut. Early criticism of the state of Sharks and their squad hasn't been proved right. When this competition started a few weeks ago who would have thought Sharks would be easily top and both Riders and Eagles struggling for 2nd and 3Rd place.

Our league is an absolute joke. No score, no game clock, no stats cast, and these commentators sound like they're screaming into 20 year old mics. Pathetic, two bit, amateurish garbage.

Congrats to Nix.
Only managed a few minutes on YouTube. With no scores waiting for commentary to tell us the score.
Looked like Nix made it tough for us and deserved their win.
Well we cant win them all..if we did what would all the doubters have to do?
Without wanting to sound too bitter, I'm kind of glad Nix won this one. It puts Rocks into real trouble and after some early preening on here on how high Rocks were going to finish and Sharks would struggle, it's kinda nice to see where Rocks are right now. Sorry to the other 90 odd % of Rock fans.
We now have to go to Giants to qualify for the next stage. That'll be a nice win there too.
Again, well played Nix.

Close close game, went down to last 10 seconds. Madterclass in 3 point shooting from Mockford and Lewis.

Starting to come together nicely for Phoenix - think we missed Ocherobia tonight. After thinking McRae wouldn’t see Christmas starting to look decent.

The joys of Youtube, tuning in for the last quarter. Sounds like there were problems early on, but no worse than the constant loss of footage on LBTV...which was paid for.

Agreed, not having Michael does make you play in a different way, but what a way to change things too. McRae now looking like a basketball player, the two games this week end gave him more time, more responsibility and proved a good import signing. Unbelievable pick up for the Nix in having Mockford sign, the pace of PJ-C, the driving of Dizzy is causing so many problems inside, it gives the outside shooters so much time and Mockford and Sayers are just queuing up to score. And we haven't yet seen our French forward on court yet. Oh and not forgetting last years top of the 3 point % Latinovic still to line up for his share of three's. Looking very promising.

When you get everyone fit the offence has the potential to be really exciting. I'm expecting an uptempo 4 out type of offence - like an (extremely) poor man's D'Antoni in Phoenix type of thing.

What a great game lots of passion from both teams and for once the refs let the players play instead of calling silly little tip tap fouls went down to the wire one of the most entertaining games I've been to for years oh and what a signing ben mockford has been compliments the team cant wait to get karim up and running and we look like a team that can compete with the best

You can hardly tell the difference between the kits on this years games, not the best I hope it was clearer in person, I could barely tell who was who half the time, especially when people were going for boards! Not overly concerned with the loss, it took a 7 from 12 three point display from Mockford to win the game, and after 2 wins against the Eagles we're in no danger of not qualifying for the semi's, so meh, you win some you lose some. Strange that Tuck was the one who cost us big in this one, especially after his season best performance on Friday, although I guess at his age, two games in a weekend are always going to be tough. Koch should have been the one to step up in his place, but taking only 3 shots in 32 minutes is absolutely not going to cut it.

Not yet seen the game fully. (We're away on hols) Not had the opportunity to watch YouTube.
However picking up on above comments and with what I've seen in the last 2 or 3 games; Koch is now finding things, including refs calls much more difficult.
The first few games he was picking up fouls just abouts every time he went to the basket. Up to the last time I checked stats he was still high in the fouls against column. With some high scoring games and double doubles. (Boards)
Now either teams have changed how they are defending against him and/or the refs are making calls differently. He seems to be now picking up more fouls himself and not so many against him. Fair enough some are blocking or illegal screens away from the basket, but life certainly doesnt appear as easy for him as it was.

Felt we played a little timid in the 4th - a little more confidence might have tipped it in our favour. Good game from the Nix - they can definitely hurt teams this season

Still dont think sharks look great. Some individuals excelling. The quality of player in the league so far this season or in the teams in the north is really low. I suspect alot of teams will chop and change imports
Youtube quality isn't great at certain venues. However we need to remember the majority are using new tech will take some time to get it bang on.

That was the first time Phoenix have used the ‘robotic’ camera. I think the colour doesn’t seem to look great on a lot of games I have seen and this is made worse by Sharks awful grey coloured jersey.

Looked like 2 games in a weekend was too much for Sharks
As lethargic as they made Eagles look on Friday the Sharks suffered the same fate on Sunday. Phoenix were first to most of the loose balls and the Sharks bigs looked pedestrian and cumbersome against the quicker more athletic Phoenix forwards.
Fortunately recent results have meant this was a game that Sharks could afford to lose and still be favourites for a home quarter final.
Not sure what the issue with Ndiaye is but he needs to become more productive if Sharks are to be consistently competitive this season. A 7 man rotation will be sufficient more often than not but a 6 man rotation (unless you have 5 all stars a la the JetWash team) will come up short too often to mount any sort of serious challenge.
Have to agree about the amateurish game presentation & online coverage. On Friday Sharks didn’t have a working scoreboard or game clock that the vast majority of the crowd or benches could see and the sound & picture quality on many YouTube streams is barely watchable.

The new video screen, as promise by Yuri in one of my earlier posts, couldn't be linked to the score board already at Ponds Forge. A technical fault I am sure they will fix for the next home game. Sharks aren't the only team that seem to be struggling with sound on YouTube. It seems to be an external fault somewhere,; its certainly the quietest I ve heard Yuri. Picking up on other posts, they poor picture quality seems to be because of the high camera point and lighting, making things look dark on court. No doubt similar looking tops don't help either.

Anybody got any thoughts on new signing Demonte Flannigan? Looks like a decent pickup. Averaged approx 12.5 points over his 14 game stint with London Lions, and hit a high of 23 points against Giants. No idea why he left the Lions.

The similarity of the kits wasn't an issue at the actual game but very difficult on YouTube when I got home. I thought that the usual thing was for home teams to be predominantly a darker colour and away kit to be essentially light. First use at the EPSV fot the new camera set up high at the very top of the arena does give a different perspective on the game. I've got a plan to stop all these issues, go to watch every Nix game in real life both home and away, sadly wife disagrees with my plan.
