Ex Eagle Jaysean Paige had signed for Maine Red Claw, Boston Celtics G League affiliate. Talented player although attitude seemed to let him down at times.

It was actually a 3 pointer. He moved back to half way and saluted the crowd, with about 5 seconds to go then Riders went down the court and scored a 3 of their own.
Probably the most talented player to have played for the Eagles in the last 5 years.

Looked he did OK, 11 points on 50% shooting playing with some high profile players who will undoubtedly play in the NBA like Romeo Langford and Tacko Fall.

He has NBA offence and no defence.
But a joy to watch when he wanted to play.
And frustrating as hell when he didn't.
Certainly one of the smoothest talents seen here in recent years.

I had quite a bit of good natured banter with him when Eagles played at The Wise the season before last. Yeah, he’s got a bit of a streak, but he wasn’t too big-headed to give the odd wink and smile when we were giving him a bit of stick. Same with Peel. Behind that tough exterior is a guy who’ll make the odd bit of interaction with the fans. And as they say, you only give good players stick!! |
