Need a win for home court advantage in the QF.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this a meaningless game for Lions now? It doesn’t matter whether they win or lose this, only a win against Scorchers on Saturday will get them the final quarter final space.

Hope your lot aren’t up for it, saving yourself for the showdown with Surrey. We need home advantage, we can give Eagles a right old battle at The Wise. Away versus Sheffield will very different, although we have a decent record v Sharks.

I would give my right arm for this commentator to not shout ‘OH-HO’ every time someone scores a basket.

Where is it being played? Copper Box Arena. I’m impressed by Lions so far, I thought they might not put too much effort into this given the result means very little to them.

Bristol totally destroyed, decent minutes for most of the Lions team. Tew looked a good pick-up tonight.
Watching that game you would have thought it was Bristol that had nothing to play for tonight, not Lions!
2nd half was easily the best Lions have played this season, perhaps simply the announcement of Ovie signing has had an effect! We finally looked like a team who could compete with everyone in the BBL.
Special mention has to go to the half time entertainment who got full coverage on the YouTube coverage, they were superb!

I would give my right arm for this commentator to not shout ‘OH-HO’ every time someone scores a basket. Must be the worst commentary team in the league.
One guy shouts "OH-HO" every time a dunk, three, foul, block, or anything basically happens... REALLY LOUDLY
The other guys follows it up by quietly just saying the name of the player that scored, blocked a shot, was fouled etc.
Add to that the lack of preparation they had obviously made:
- Numerous incorrect name pronounciations. - One asked the other "If Bristol lose who do they have in the QF?" and the reply was "Well... Leicester Riders are top of the North and..." then it went silent until a shot was taken and they moved on. - At half-time they just listed every player and how many points he'd scored off the box score. One-by-one, no top-scorers, impact, no real breakdown at all. Just a list.
They were absolute ****e and there is no wonder nobody wants to pay to put BBL on TV screens if that's the presentation you get from the league champions.
... ...
Their main camera was at a decent height and distance from the court though in comparison to some.

I'm a Lions fan, but have to agree with everything you've just said.

They're a couple of lovely guys but the commentary is a bit cringeworthy at times. They seem to have reduced down the number of 'hasn't got the drop' but the 'woo-hoos' are still in full flourish!!
On a plus point, the Camera angles are better than most venues, its far easier to watch.

I'm sure they are lovely but unfortunately lovely doesn't translate to being able to offer insightful or entertaining basketball commentary. Move them on asap.
