I’m going to be really interested in how Owuni, Zaire and Cam Hilderth do against bbl opposition Well they were (just) too good for last years depleted Scorchers team - which probably tells you how they would get on against anyone else in the BBL..

It's beyond me why teams from the south coast want to enter a competition that could send them to north or Scotland and the huge travel bill that would incur

Even more baffling that Wales are invited back after their poor performance last season

Even more baffling that Wales are invited back after their poor performance last season May well be unsuccessful on court but did it do more for basketball in Wales? A win off the court of some sort?

I could be wrong mate but I don't think people flocked to play basketball having been inspired by watching Ed Lucas torch their national team. May have got a few through the door for the game but that'd be about it I imagine.

Yeah, besides it's no fun watching a team get thumped like that.
At the end of the day it boils down to fitness & strength, these weaker teams don't have either and I'm afraid unless significant change is made, teams will keep getting humped.

I can see why the BBL want to make the Trophy different to the Cup (although it certainly is now) and try to make it more British, but I don't think putting a side in who have no chance of competing is the way forward. We had some good times in the BBL Trophy - the Mr Potato Head row was fantastic - but the financial implications of it whether you're home or away means I really don't miss it.

So it's basically the 2 weaker nations of the 4 Home Nations going at it. Newcastle should resign from the BBL if they can't beat Dunfermline,

Looks like Royals have a home draw in the next round, wonder if they'll actually play it?
I wonder if the BBL will bring their automated camera down to Worthing as I guess technically it should be broadcast on YouTube.
