Game Reports - Sat 30th Nov 2019
Nottingham Wildcats produced an amazing last quarter to topple Sevenoaks Suns who lost a WBBL Championship fixture for the first time since the 2017-18 season.
Their amazing winning run, which witnessed a 22-0 Regular Season during 2018-19 and was 34 games in total, was brought to a halt by Wildcats with a spectacular 29-8 final quarter as the home side turned around a double-digit deficit.
Jasmine Joyner continued her immense season with a brilliant 22 points and 18 rebounds, while teammate Chelsey Shumpert weighed in with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
Leicester Riders remain in the centre of the title race and like both Wildcats and Suns, have only lost once. Their latest victory came at Oaklands where they sunk the Wolves by 87-66. Kate Oliver came up with a monumental double-double of 25 points and 20 rebounds for Riders.
Newcastle Eagles continued their good form with a one-sided 84-48 road win at Cardiff Met Archers. Amazingly four different players all came up with double-doubles and it was Giulia Simioni who impressed most with 21 points and 11 assists.

For the first time this season, four of our starting five all racked up efficiency scores in excess of 30, while a familiar face records her astonishing 8th straight appearance in our line-up. Giulia Simioni – Newcastle Eagles It’s been an outstanding few weeks for the Eagles and the Swiss guard was pulling the strings as usual. She put Cardiff Archers to the sword with a fine double-double of 21 points and 11 assists, also pulling down 4 boards and shooting 64% from the floor. Georgia Jones – Manchester Mystics The Great Britain playmaker conbasketball kited her team’s comfortable home victory against the visiting BA London Lions with her experience and quality shining through. Jones accumulated a fine double-double of 21 points and 11 assists in the contest. Samantha Roscoe – Manchester Mystics The Mystics’ forward was on fire in the home win against Lions and had a stunning line by the time the final buzzer had sounded.
