Back at the start of the season, along with the announcement that games would be streamed live on YouTube, the BBL announced they would be launching a new weekly magazine programme called ‘BBL Yell!’. The announcement said the new programme would start in December, in time for the start of the Championship season.
Since then I’ve heard nothing, and it looks like the announcement video has been removed from the BBL YouTube channel.
Does anyone have any further information, or know if it’s still going to happen?

I'm not surprised, given the reaction to the BBL's "Benedol play of the week" creation If it ain't broke, don't fix ... just saying !!

I’d thought that too – if you look at the number of people who view the coverage of the games (usually somewhere between 2,000 and 4,000) and the number of people who view the ‘Play of the Week’ (usually about 200) it’s possible the BBL have decided there isn’t any value in producing a weekly magazine programme and scrapped their plans. That would be a shame as I’d quite like to see a 30 minute weekly highlights programme, but at least we have some very good unofficial podcasts to enjoy. However disappointing that the BBL are relying on their fans to produce this output rather than do something themselves.

I hope they’re just rethinking the name, not a fan of ‘yell’.
I do think a weekly magazine/highlight show - if done right - would really be effective in building discussion and engagement, and the podcasts have really raised their game in recent years in showing the way. Maybe need to work out some kinks in the coverage first though...

Maybe need to work out some kinks in the coverage first though... A weekly highlights/magazine programme could also be used to promote the BBL. Along with posting it on YouTube they could literally give it away at no cost to the likes of FreeSports, Eurosport etc. Assuming the production values are good enough I’m sure they’d welcome 30 minutes of free content each week, which in turn would act as an advert for the BBL in general. I believe Formula E do something similar with a programme called ‘Street Racers’, what appears on numerous sports channels as well as YouTube.
