Finally the league season comes round, and feels a bit like the season is really starting.
Nice to see the Riders parading the play off trophy (May was a long time ago) at the King Power last night.

Judging by the pix on Riders FB page it looks as if pretty much all the players (except Lascelles obviously) are training so hopefully we'll have a full squad available tomorrow. Don't think we'll be as rusty as we were last week in the first half.

Some patchy, lax plays but overall this was a comprehensive win. Played well in offence but strangely let Raiders back in to the game at times in Q3 with defensive lapses. Cartwright, Wright and Anderson shone but fair to say the whole team were very effective. Crowd was big and loved it. All good.

I dont want this to come out as an excuse or anything but it just wasnt fair.
We are a solid BBL side and I fully believe that. Leicester however were about 3 steps ahead. Can honestly say they just looked too draw, never looked like they were even at full speed.
We go again Sunday

Riders were good tonight, but I thought Raiders looked like a decent team that will get better with the integration of the two new guys, who both performed well.
Sam Daniel was the pick of the two new signees, and Hassan also did pretty well.

Lets hope he’s hot on Sunday

Marked too well for him to get good looks for 3 point shots.

Solid performance from Riders. No worries at all. Daniel looked a decent player for Raiders.

Cartwright with 19 assists!!! Best PG in the league? Got to be in the mix for that accolade. He's averaging approx 10 per game I think, off the top of my head. Certainly he's a joy to watch with some fantastic passes that are blazingly fast and out of the blue. He'd have two more if Nelson-Henry had converted two excellent passes. A dish by Cartwright off a drive towards the hoop bounced off Nelson-Henry's chest because he wasn't expecting it and he failed to convert another sitter of a lay-up from a great pass. Interestingly, it's the most assists in the BBL by a guard and equals the record set by Wilcher - the PG for Raiders last Friday!
