So Wolves finish the game with 4 off the bottom end of the bench on court and win by 18, not a problem except they were 28 ahead into the final quarter. Just supposing though that in the return game Scorchers win by 19 and the teams are tied on points for 8th and 9 th place?? It won't happen of course but you never know?? The same scenario could happen between 2 other teams or am I just being silly?

The semi-final of the BBL Cup will be very close I think. Wolves look very strong and Newby's doing an excellent job coaching them. Could be fiery exchanges between the two coaches. Expect fireworks!

Well, Wolves cruised to victory today.
The scoreline doesn't do the game justice as Wolves got sloppy in the 2nd half.
Amir Williams was simply awesome with a 21 pt/ 19 reb/ 5 block performance tonight . ( An efficiency rating of 42!! )
Pretty sure that he will cause many teams a lot of problems this coming season.
He's simply so long in both height and reach that he doesn't need to jump. ( I'm sure that his Nike's were firmly planted on the court for about 5/6 of his 19 boards.)
Amazing stuff!!

If that is correct then yes it could certainly stop teams playing their bench at the end of games

If that is correct then yes it could certainly stop teams playing their bench at the end of games That was my assumption as it would separate the teams level on points. I made the point of no garbage times for the bench near the end of some games between teams of fairly level ability. Does this mean we will see 40 minutes of proper basketball now?

And cut out all the rubbish of not taking the final shot if you're winning!

Imagine if a Premiership team stopped playing once the scoreline got to 5-0 with one minute left of a game. I've always hated the game just ebbing away with the winning team declining to try and score.
