I swore that I would not ever pay for another game in this league and I didn’t but got a freebie today to witness this Soko dude. My friend said he was a celeb and he would bring a new level of play to the Lions and the game day would be crazy. It’s was. Crazy empty and this dude Soko is OK but by far nothing special. How old is he??
I now know the true depths of ball in the UK and for a country like this, shame that the ball here is so horrible.

He continues to expect an NBA, or at least NCAA, experience from the BBL. But if you’re interested in his review of Riders by all means give him a couple of tickets. No... he isn't setting the WORLD on fire. Hence why he is playing in England.
What level are you expecting out of British Basketball because it seems you're reaching far too high. This is a transitional league that isn't close to standing with most of Europe right now. Were you expecting us to have some players being paid in the millions or something? Some of these players don't get paid at all...
The league obviously wants to have a higher standard but the problem is you need to have the fans, sponsorship and television coverage for that money to be there for the clubs to then be able to spend big.
In this country there are hundreds of football clubs and for a hundred years people here have grown up with that as their sport. Basketball needs time to build when there is so much football over a kingdom of countries smaller than the size of Texas.
Finally... one person says 3,000, you say "over half empty". Honestly you could both be right as it's a 7,000 person venue.
