We taking bets as to whether its on or not? Kinda has to be. Flyers play again on Saturday and the second leg is the week after. Not much room for manoeuvre.

What a disappointing and disastrous attendance at the game!!!! This is why you got to start low league and build a fan base!!!! Looks so embarrassing this is top end basketball production in our capital

Think Royals went too hard in the first half, and were knackered come the end. Great battling from Flyers. Half a job done, but a confidence boost ahead of Wolves tomorrow.

What a disappointing and disastrous attendance at the game!!!! This is why you got to start low league and build a fan base!!!! Looks so embarrassing this is top end basketball production in our capital Having watched Royals a lot in recent months, it is a game I’d normally have been at. However, my patience is wearing a little thin and the farce over the Rocks fixture didn’t help. Crowds have dropped dramatically, as you could see on the stream last night, since the opening two fixtures and I’ve seen little to suggest the hierarchy of the club are marketing the club locally to attract new fans. The atmosphere is like an empty gym. To say they had been aiming for playing out of Wembley and in Europe this season, seems a long way off. The Lav twins situation is weird and I don’t get how they are allowed to skip matches whenever they feel like it, makes the Royals and the league look so unprofessional. And as one other poster mentioned in another thread, the twins’ blackface Instagram posts left me feeling a bit disappointed. The loss of Nhamo has also massively damaged the game day experience. The new live commentator is crap and just keeps repeating the same lines - “all to play for in this one” even at 20 points up - every few minutes. I’m normally the last one to focus in on that sort of thing but it is grating. He also said on mic at a previous game that he knows very little about basketball - it shows, mate. Worth adding that last night tickets were a fiver... I wouldn’t go so far as to say I was ever a Royals fan but I’ve not missed many of their home games in the past 12 months. I will continue watching them as and when but the Rocks postponement has really turned me off of them, despite the basketball product obviously being one of the best in the country right now. Despite that, I have been and will be spending more time back at Scorchers (as a former Heat fan) over the Royals, as they seem the more professional set up with people who know and love the game. I didn’t go to the game last night obviously - I didn’t want to arrange a trip and miss out on other plans, only to find out hours before that Royals don’t fancy playing! But I caught the end. Typical first leg. This system doesn’t lend itself to basketball and I am glad we have moved away from it for the post season. I think the ball is now in Flyers court, can see them winning again at home and expect them to progress to play Riders in the final.

I think the ball is now in Flyers court, can see them winning again at home and expect them to progress to play Riders in the final. As another former Heat fan who has watched the Royals a fair bit since they started last season, I have to agree that they seem to be losing their way and lacking any kind of coherent strategy to build a solid fan base. I was initially attracted by their commitment to support British talent but I don't really get the whole Lav Twins episode. They brought a lot of extra fans in for a couple of games but now the novelty seems to have faded away and there are not even any pre-game announcements to say if they are playing or not. The club seem to have dipped in and out of providing an "entertainment" experience - musical chairs, cheerleaders and live singers have all been tried here and there but now pretty much nothing except for a raffle and a bit of music. Maybe they don't see themselves staying at Crystal Palace beyond this season so they are not making much effort to bring in local families or school groups? Just feel sorry for the players trying to win matches in a very empty arena. It can't be very motivating for them and the footage on YouTube last night was a shocking advert for the BBL.

There is a spectacularly bad free throw miss at 1hr37Wind it back a minute for Orlan Jackman missing three at the line too.

Maybe they haven't been paid so are refusing? Wouldn't be surprised. Plenty of players from last season haven't had everything they were owed yet.
I don't think they'll be in the BBL next season.
