Disappointing. Looking at his stats he's been one of the teams top 3 players in regards to total points scored, points per game, assists and rebounds so far this season.

But look how little he played in the last game. If Ovie staying and playing then Lions can save his money.

Yes it looked like the end was near when he had so little court time. The arrival of Ovie really did it for him, I suppose Lions will just make do when he isn't available. A pity as Dii-Jon served the Nix well over the past couple of seasons although his performance wasn't as outstanding post Xmas last season.

He didn't impress. Part of the problem was how much Lions played without another big man alongside Peel and so he spent so much time on the boards, but he was slightly undersized to do this successfully. There's a player there, but he needs the right role on the team.

Something makes me think we won’t be seeing Cilo again. Sadly that's a possibility, however Cilo has a European passport, Dii-Jon would need to replace one of our USA squad members.

Lions already have 11 senior players on the roster, they don't need to add more players.

Riders won’t be the only team to lose to nix this year. PJC is MVP material. Mockford can make and hit, Hayes is decent, Mike O does a job. A lot will depend on what the French player and Latinovic do or who replaces them. Lufedeju is decent as well Sayers seems out of sorts took 2 shots yesterday. Flannigan will need to step up. Saying that as good as the 2 steels were at the death it was very unlike Riders to blow a game in that way!

Saying that as good as the 2 steels were at the death it was very unlike Riders to blow a game in that way! According to Louis he wants to develop his game and not just be a 3 point shooter. He hasn't really had a look in with Mockford coming in and being the player he is in terms of baskets hit and total number of shots hit.. Agree about the other observations although Flannigan does take his share of rebounds and despite not being a prolific scorer appears recently to be doing a job for the team, his points scoring is covered by the others. Highlight of the season is Dizzy, going from an exceptional defender to offensive rebounder and competent PG. P. S. Nice to see you again.

I could see that, but surely at the expense of one of the current roster. Making open shots is about all Jorge Romero contributes so I would think the player you describe replaces him. I also struggle to see where Whelan fits in this team.

I also struggle to see where Whelan fits in this team. I really like Whelan, brings plenty of effort & commitment off the bench & has stepped his performance level up in the last couple of weeks. I really like his attitude & I think he will be integral to the success of this team. I'm not so sure about Romero! Solid professional but not sure he brings enough to the team.
