FLT Peterman Sheffield Hatters and Manchester Mystics both enjoyed success, in the final games both teams will play in 2019, with victories in the Championship.
Asha Thomas poured in a game-high 22 points to help Sheffield overcome BA London Lions 75-61. A strong final quarter from the hosts saw them claim a fourth league win of the season and deny the determined visitors their first points of the campaign.
A blistering third period from Manchester proved decisive as the away team picked up an 81-59 win over Essex Rebels to move top of the table. Sara Djassi produced the outstanding performance of the game with 26 points for the guests.
Dom Allen also had reason to celebrate as the star forward passed 400 WBBL career Championship points and 400 WBBL career Championship rebounds in the win.

Leicester Riders will head into the winter break full of confidence after a convincing win on the road in the capital.
The visitors will conclude the year at the top of the standings thanks to a 83-54 win over BA London Lions. Kate Oliver led Leicester’s attack with a game-high 22 points and 12 rebounds.

AIt’s our very last line-up of the calendar year as we get prepared to push the pause button for the festive break. Asha Thomas – FLT Peterman Sheffield Hatters After her big 30 point haul last week during in an agonising loss for Hatters, Thomas does get her place this week after starring in the win against Lions. She shot 61% from the floor en-route to a smart 22 points, plus 3 boards and 2 assists. Sara Djassi – Manchester Mystics The forward is enjoying a highly productive rookie WBBL year and turned heads once again as Mystics took the victory at Rebels. Djassi finished the contest with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals to also take Player of the Week honours. Ella Clark – Leicester Riders It’s a debut in our All-Star Five for Clark, who has had a terrific season and made some serious noise at the Copperbox. She took down Lions with a super 18 points, 9 rebounds and some amazing defensive work, which returned a fine five blocks. Samantha Roscoe – Manchester Mystics The forward continued her impressive form in that road win against Rebels. She helped carry the Mystics to victory with a typically all-action line of excellence, that contained 18 points, 10 boards, 4 assists and 4 steals. Kate Oliver – Leicester Riders It’s a fifth starting slot of the campaign for the centre, who is now joint second on our leaderboard for the most appearances. Her latest came courtesy of her double-double against the Lions of 22 points and 12 rebounds, as well as 4 assists. Off The Bench – Chantelle Pressley (FLT Peterman Sheffield Hatters), Lavinia Da Silva (BA London Lions), Beth Sarson (Essex Rebels), Brea Elmore (Leicester Riders), Viktoria Ivanova (BA London Lions), Roshina Rosario (FLT Peterman Sheffield Hatters), Alex Haley (Leicester Riders).
