Dan Routledge got it down to three players: Andy Thomson Charles Jervon Smith Drew Sullivan Recent Tweet from Daniel Routledge And after much debate (with myself), my Player of the Decade is.... Ha ha you didn't think the man who couldn't pick five would get down to one do you!?!? 😂😂 So based on medals and iconic moments, my Players of the Decade are: @andythomson1984 @smithjervon @drewsullivan8 pic.twitter.com/44Dd0lrRwT

Great replies from Andy and Drew (very humble)
Andrew Thomson @andythomson1984 31 Dec 2019 Replying to @dan_routledge @smithjervon and @drewsullivan8
Ive been lucky to play with great pros, to many to list.I learnt how to win from @drewsullivan8 & @smithjervon and what it takes to be a champion. I’ve been on both sides of the court when it comes to there heroics so I can’t decide on who’s 1. I just new when to stick or twist😂 ·
Drew Sullivan 31 Dec 2019 Replying to @dan_routledge , @andythomson1984 and @smithjervon
My vote still goes to @smithjervon. I believe leading a team to success carries the most weight. Robert Horry is a great player that won but never led. Charles year after year #justsaying. Only my opinion and I'm more than happy to welcome a debate. So people know I'm not hating

Personally I'm picking Drew. He was the vital addition that turned Riders from challengers to winners
He was just a winner and a totally different mentality to most players

I agree with Sullivan - Charles Smith just did silly things for too long. Sullivan a very close second though - the best Defensive player of the decade certainly.
Fitting that all three played for (and won with) the Eagles though - they have to be the club of the decade.

Lol Think it was on win % that he did it wasn't it?
The clean sweeps did it for me. Matters more than a couple of 0.something %.

Agreed on Charlie Buckets, and not just because the other two moved to a certain other club for their twilight years !

Charles Smith, absolutely for me. Tyler Bernadini is another that should be mentioned in the list

Charles Smith for me just for that fear factor, he was 30-40 points just waiting to happen I've never had that sence of doom with any other athlete in any sport I follow!!

Drew for me. Titles st 3 different clubs, GB captain and his signing was the catalyst for Riders to become the leading club in the country. The prince coukd shot the lights out but Drew was the ultimate leader. Tommo titles st 3 different clubs comes second for me.
Playground selection I would suspect most people would choose Drew as first pick.
