Posted on their LavTwins Instagram account just a few hours ago that their last game was 1st December and their “hearts are broken for the thousands of Lithuanians who supported us”
Not that Royals are likely to announce anything official

Thousands of Lithuanians? More like a handful of Lithuanians and a man with a big flag. It’s a shame they’re gone, but this was inevitable even before events of recent weeks. Glad I got to see them while they were here though.

Has Andrew Lawrence "officially" gone?
What about Matt Scott? Didn't play in the last game?

Forgot the man with the big flag, he looked like he was enjoying himself, has he been back to watch after the twins left? If he has then the idea of encouraging more people to come regularly has worked.

Shame the Lav Twins episode did not work out long term for the club, but they did give us a few memorable nights at Crystal Palace. The atmosphere at the Royals v Lions game in October was manic!

Atmosphere at the game was off the scale for a BBL game, I hated Lions losing but loved every second of the atmosphere. CP was quite full & I'd estimate 70% were Lithuanian! I doubt it was ever going to be long term but I'm delighted I got to witness a game whilst they were here.

If he has then the idea of encouraging more people to come regularly has worked. Royals haven’t had a home game since 13th Dec and their next home game isn’t until 1st Feb, so I don’t think there’s been any home games since the Lav twins left to see whether ‘flag man’ is going to continue to attend. My guess is, unfortunately, he won’t. But we always thought the Lithuanians were only there to see the Lav twins. And given they were only there for a few months there’s even less chance of the Lithuanians sticking around.

The atmosphere at the London/London games I’ve been to – both at Crystal Palace and the Copper Box, has been great. And that’s why I hope the London rivalry long continues, although I fear it won’t. Right now I’m just hoping the next Royals/Lions game at Crystal Palace on 19th April actually happens.

Well the Lav twins idea went “down the pan” . Didn’t Rodman play for Brighton while he was over on holiday.

Well the Lav twins idea went “down the pan” . Didn’t Rodman play for Brighton while he was over on holiday. Yes, whist he was over here following an appearance on Celebrity Big Brother... that was much more of a publicity stunt than the Lav twins though. Nick Nurse (current NBA Champions coach with Toronto Raptors) was coach. It worked in that it got the Brighton Bears huge publicity. But the games were also eventually voided for breaking BBL rules and many fans consider it as the beginning of the end for the team. Rodman was never really part of the team, he just showed up for games (only 3 I think?), collected his fee, and went home. I guess that part isn’t too dissimilar to the Lav twins!
