Tough game for us. Rocks have played us already and beaten us in the latest games. It's also a second game in 48 hours with a fair bit of travelling inbetween and being short handed losing Cilo and unsure about Hayes. Not really too many positives to talk about really!!!
However it's definitely going to be a Nix win🤔

Its the type of games that nix big players show up and shoot the lights out. I hope a rocks win. We have looked good and i dont think teams know how we will line up

Looks like the ref gave a goal tend. Nix big man swiped at the ball on initial shot. Cannot see if he actually touched the ball.

Looks like the ref gave a goal tend. Nix big man swiped at the ball on initial shot. Cannot see if he actually touched the ball. Ref gave a foul as he shot, shot was then blocked, ruled as a goal tend hence the two points given then the plus one. But who cares! |

Well done nix. Deserved it for their second half performance. I was speaking to fans before the game and said watch out for mockford. If he starts hot he will be one to watch... wish i hadn't.
Turning point definitely when rocks were up by 8 or 9 and a chsnce to double figures and 2 straight possessions ali fraser turns the ball over really saw phoenix lift their heads after that. I did think the refs at times protected nix with fouls and a strange moment when a certain ref when Cartwright got fouled out after he turned it over all of a sudden decided rocks should only have 14 seconds.
Best ive seen sayers play, never stopped going. From a rocks point of view i would of liked the ball in murrays or pryor hand over vinson but heyho. Concentration now solely on the league campaign.

Congratulations Nix. Not much between the teams, but Nix played to their maximum potential, whereas Rocks were a level below our performance v. Sharks two nights ago.
Quite a frenetic tie, which may have suited Nix better. They looked in greater control of their offence whereas Rocks too often appeared to be struggling to create an open look.

My information came from our travelling band (two drums if not quite a band) of two supporters who heard the explanation to Ben Thomas court side. |

I've watched it enough times now! If the defender touches it when he swipes it then it's a goal tend. However:
a. I can't see that he touches the ball or that the ball's movement is adjusted at all
b. I hate that rule! (goal tending should be about the ball being blocked on its way down to the basket IMO.)

He turned it over and fouled. It was his 5th foul. The table reset the clock to 24. Play started ref stopped and decided no only 11 seconds left. If its only 14 on a turnover and a foul thats fine but no way should should hsve had that reduced to 11

Maybe if 3 seconds had already been used, so it was 14, but went to 11.
