Personally love the fact that an EBL team 5 years ago is now regarded as one of the elite clubs in the league. I like Matt Newby but I want Flyers to win and show what a well run organisation can achieve
Apparently , not sure if it was in Makhem taken ofr under the rim but a big rivalry between the coaches going back to their EBL and Bucs days. Can’t help thinking this could be the first of many trophies fir the Flyers. Anyone know when their new arena opens and what the csiscity is? I’m sure they will accompany Eagles and Riders as the best in class

Just a polite suggestion - if you’re watching this at home WATCH IT ON BBC IPLAYER (live or on-demand), not on YouTube. I know for a fact that the BBC review iPlayer viewing figures every week/month, so if the BBL performs well for them it’ll increase the chances of these finals being promoted to BBC Two (or even BBC One).

As a neutral Eagles fan who misses regular trips to Birmingham for the cup final, I wish both teams well for a good close entertaining match that brings many new fans in to the game.

Wolves defence completely stumping Bristol so far. Theyve clearly done their homework and Bristol dont seem to know what to do. Offence completely disjointed.

Wolves clearly the stronger team at HT, credit to Flyers for staying in the game though, still a lot more game to come.
Most ‘experts’ were predicting Wolves to win this before the game, so surprising the bookies were offering odds to more than double your money if you went for a Wolves win. I’m slightly regretting not taking advantage of that right about now.

Congratulations to Wolves. Williams was massively good today despite not looking 100% fit to my eyes. They stopped Flyers with really good defence. Newby is a very good coach.

If someone had said we’d keep Jordan Williams to 5 points, I’d be pretty confident of victory.
But, not to be. Wolves thoroughly deserved it, no complaints. We kept in it, despite not firing on offence (not being allowed to).
Great experience, hopefully the players will want another final.

Jordan gets his numbers quietly. If Amir is doing work the game was gunna be theirs to lose. 23 points, 13 rebounds, 2 steals, 5 blocks... Gunna need a huge team performance to overcome that.

The worry for the rest of the BBL is that Amir Williams wasn't even near fit for the final - he practically walked to MVP. He also played through injury in the second leg of the semi-final. Even us based in Worcester haven't seen what he is capable of yet, the prospect of witnessing a fully fit Amir Williams later in the season is very exciting.

The prospect of witnessing a fully fit squad later in the season is also very exciting, even though none of them are called Walker.
