My perhaps controversial opinion: Limiting imports doesn't work either now or Post mythical Brexit in my opinion. It just means mediocre players fortunate enough to have dual nationality stick around the league longer than they have any right to, when new faces could be coming in and dragging the standard of the league up with them. We should be looking to bring talented imports in and getting them to be naturalised Brits as soon as possible.

Good listen as always, nice bit of in-depth reviews of Wolves and Flyers final.

Dan, do you have potential brides for these imports you want to naturalise? That's the only way they'll get a passport within a couple of years.

Make it 3 years instead of 5 to be a naturalised citizen and able to represent GB. Seems like there's no problem bending the rules in athletics, tennis, cricket etc. Most recently rule change to allow Jofra Archer to play for England after 3 years residency.

Isn't the whole idea of Brexit to rid our great country of Johnny Foreigner? Without getting political, the Tories have made it harder and more expensive to bring in imports, and there's no sign of that changing.

I fail to see how Brexit can be a good thing for our game - all that will happen is the value of mediocre Brits will increase as they it will be harder to get visa for "average" foreigners. The overall talent level of the league will decline.

The Premier League would die overnight if EU players were treated same as non EU Post Brexit.

Who was that guy who played for the Knights, he was the only bright spark in a poor organisation?

Not listened to this, but spotted that BE have a podcast too now, seems everyone's at it! bit.ly/2RlInMVApologies for using this thread, didn't think it was worth its own thread.

The Premier League would die overnight if EU players were treated same as non EU Post Brexit. MT episode 65 had a quick update on the import topic - apparently EU and non-EU imports will be treated the same, but the import limit will be 4 players rather than 3 (or the current 3+2). Thoughts?

Is that for the BBL? The current NBL rules are two non EU, as many EU as you want/can afford as they are £403 to register.
If EU players are going to imports next season there's a couple of lower division clubs who will probably fold.
