OK...I've been getting my basketball fix(and curing boredom generally) recently by watching NBA2K mycareer watchthroughs on Youtube.
Mycareer is a cool concept, but the player characters are clearly American all the time. Which makes me wonder...what would the "prelude" for a non-US character(particularly British character) look like? Start the character out as a fast rising BBL talent at 17/18 then maybe working through the European game and getting the NBA's attention that way? Something like junior NBA at 14/15? Going through the US college system with a similar storyline to 2K20?

A kid who never plays BBL. Goes to college and maybe even high school in the US and we never get to see him play a game on these shores.

So the opener may well be some kind of showcase to get the attention of colleges Stateside?

So opening scene has the guy going to Deng Camp on the assumption that there's US college scouts at the Allstar game and we go from there.
