The off topic area on the old WB wasn't much needed in recent years so I'm not minded to bring it back any time soon.
That said, there's a few rather high profile sporting events over the summer. They might be something folk want to discuss... they might not.
First up is euro 2016. Well done to Wales earlier on and good luck to England in their current game.
Personally I don't fancy France to win the tourney on last night's performance but who knows?

Before the tournament I had a hunch Germany might come through and win it - then I got them in the work sweepstake, which tends to be kiss of death. Missed the Wales game, but watching England now. Can't really understand why Kane seems to be taking all the corners... Aren't strikers meant to be on the other end of those?

Quite enjoy watching International football.
I always support Holland (I'm part Dutch) and Germany. So seeing as Holland aren't in it then it's Germany for me! Never really been too bothered about teams like Spain.
Will of course be wanting to see Wales and Ireland all do well.

I really don't get this as a non football fan. Seems like this time last year friends I have in Chile were sending me whatsapp messages after they won the Copa America. I have some lovely video footage from Valparaiso on the night they won of all the street celebrations. Now we are playing again??? Over to the footy experts to explain. Thanks

Thanks They've never quite got their heads round the schedule. In past its been every 2 years, every 3 years and every 4 years! Next one is due in 2019 The reason we have one this year is its the 100th anniversary of Copa America this year and they wanted to celebrate that with another tournament But their pre planning clearly didn't anticipate that when they also committed to one in 2015

Agree the tournament has been pretty dull this year. There has been more action off the pitch than on it seems...
Once the group stages are over we will hopefully see some good match ups and the games will become that bit better.

A lot of the "smaller" teams are parking the bus, due to the ridiculous qualification rules for the knockout rounds, where finishing 3rd will get you through and you can, potentially, do it with just 3 draws in the groups.
This was predicted by many a commentator before the tournament and seems to have come to fruition...I'm surprised we haven't had a 0-0 yet, to be honest.

As I have mentioned previously, Football is my main sport with Basketball a close second, so when my organised a predictor competition for the tournament I thought I would be in with a good chance of the £125 first prize.
There are 343 people taking part and after an exhaustive look through the fixtures using my years of watching/coaching/attending matches I currently lie in 324th position.
Good job I don't bet - and incase you think I am a frustrated Scotsman, I would like to say I have predicted England to qualify in first place from their group.

What a crap tournament. Boring boring boring. I recommend the Copa America if anyone fancies some actual drama. Has Gonzalo Jara poked his finger up anyone's arse yet this year? Certainly more drama off the pitch than on it so far in France. Looks an absolute shambles over there. Personally, I don't think the games have been that bad but I'm used to watching really boring football.

Glad that England are out, arrogant and disrespectful towards Iceland who I was rooting for from the start.
Won me £6.50

You hide behind a Guest account to basketball kit. I don't hate England, just the arrogant media who thought that England just had to turn up.
0/10 on your pathetic attempt
