So thats a few games gone already.
Sadly, I think the whole thing (season) will be scrapped with the announcement on Monday of a national lockdown. Might be wrong and hope I am. The Prem League may have the funds to keep games going but not sure a small sport and BBL can do. Too many other staff/people involved for a non essential activity to be carried out when everyone will be asked to stay at home for a month (unless essential)

If 50% of fixtures are not fulfilled then should the season be null and void?

a from the outside looking in viewpoint: its the small things all adding up music in pubs = raised voices in conversations and when telling staff what ordering (even background music has been banned in scotland for months now, let alone djs, pub quizzes, karaoke etc) just been reading about crowds at non-league level football in england in many places are up - social mixing opportunity that doesnot exist in rest of UK local leaders in the english regions arguing against tightening in their areas and delay the inevitable (that the science folk said it was) I am not a fan of all decisions in scotland - but like NI and Wales the devolved leaders have just told the local leaders what is happening and led/governed from the front and whether they have got it right or not, it feels better than the chat/negotiate/dither approach that from the outside looking in seems to have been the way in england the last 2 months.

Only elite sport to continue.
Do we class BBL as elite?
Think if not it could be the death knell for the season.

Small things like the PMs capability!

4 weeks !! ... Is there any chance the Cup could be wrapped up by next Thursday ? Highly likely, it'll just be the two teams that are fit enough to play as a straight final. To be played on an outdoor court especially created at any one of a couple of dozen out of town outlet villages car parks.

It's impossible to exaggerate how many times this has been mentioned. The problem is our joke of a National Governing Body are letting themselves get fobbed off by DCMS, so there isn't going to be money to play, anyway.

I mean surely the fact that so many clubs play out of leisure centres means the death of anything outside of the bbl for at least 4 weeks?

At a senior level there's not much outside the BBL anyway. We are really juat waiting on the kids stuff. And if they can go to school...

Elite sport can continue.. but what about the venues? Sports centres that are closed now. Other arenas that are closed. Are any of them going to reopen for a basketball game to be played? Most staff will be on furlough for the next 4 weeks (at least).
Just cant see games being played at all bit of a joke to be running a league/cup when a couple of games have been called off already.
