Crucial that we win this game to get some points and momentum going into the Lions game.

...and no such thing as home advantage anymore. Infact if the lack of fans is causing more goals in football, why not more points in basketball as well ? It would explain Leicester's lack of defence last week

Home advantage is real and it's not down to fans.

If you play on a court you regularly practise on then you will instinctively know exactly where you are because of all the peripheral reference points, e.g. roof beams, lights, table, seating, gangways etc. That's got to help. Added to which you don't have to experience a long journey on a coach for several hours before a game.

I agree lack of travel can help, but Eagles never train on their match court because it doesn't exist between matches, and so far away wins outnumber home wins 3-1.

Advice from either Eagles or Riders fans. Is it worth me paying to watch this game tomorrow night or should I wait for the Nix playing up in Glasgow? Can Uncle Jeff guarantee that the camera work will be fast enough to catch all the baskets in this game? Will the team's agree not to run any fast breaks ? Will the team's agree to wear different coloured kit so that I can tell the difference unlike Sharks and Lions? A scoreboard and time clock would enhance my viewing experience but I'd do without if that's too much trouble. Many thanks!!

I'm not sure this is 100% accurate. Davef can probably confirm or deny but whilst it's not perhaps overly common I'm fairly sure I've heard of us practicing on our game court before?

1 very rarely 2. Travelled with the eagles for 10 plus years. - approx 150,000 miles. Not one of those miles on a mini bus. (And riders are the same)

Thanks Davef - one glorious correction though. One year Paul tried hiring 3 or 4 MPVs and asking fans to drive to away matches for a free ticket. I had the consequent honour of driving to Leicester and back With Fab in the front, the middle seats taken out and TJ and Charles in the back. Still the best fan experience of my life!

Were Riders selling tickets for this game at Newcastle? I bought mine from the Eagles website.

Bought my ticket from Eagles. Exciting but scrappy game at times. Johnson will want to forget tonight. Should be back on form against Lions. Good win to beat Eagles who are a very capable team. Enjoyed the commentary which was informative and fair. Congratulations to Riders. Makes that journey home a little less arduous.

Another good close game but Riders Q4 defence won out in the end. I bought my ticket just after tip off - the live coverage took 5 mins to activate, but no complaints about the camera work and informative commentary. I could do without ads during timeouts, but understand the commercial need.

I agree, the commentary was excellent as always from the Eagles; presentation slightly spoiled by the loss of lighting on one of the cameras when panning left.

Bought my ticket through Eagles website as well. Slow to activate but coverage very good. Riders ground it out. Two very closely matched teams. I guess a 1-1 share of the games is spot on.
