6 steals for Liggins. Lions scored 20 from turnovers. That's the game right there.

Figure both teams will be relatively pleased with that. Never want to lose a game but second game of the weekend with 7 players away at Lions when you're essentially through already. Add in that Liggins was superb, Lions made a bunch of tough shots and had a few very generous home court rolls and a 9 point loss looks better. Add in that we bricked a bunch of wide open threes and turned the ball over carelessly throughout the game and it looks even better still. This result doesn't change my view that we are a really good side and will push Lions and others all the way, if we can find replacement(s) for our injured players.
Lions and Eagles have found the blueprint for beating Riders though, shoot 25 to 30 threes a game and hit them at 60%. If teams can do this against us then they might beat us.

My thoughts as well Turned commentary off after 5 minutes that was enough

Good, exciting game of basketball, both teams fighting hard for everything & Keith Williams attempting to be the star of the show! Lions finally starting to look like a team, much better inside from them, I appreciate it could have been different with Walker playing but Nelson-Henry is a massive presence inside. Crandall looks a great signing & only overshadowed in this game by Liggins who was fantastic again. I've said it before but defensively he's a different class to anyone else & he's not too bad offensively either. When Lions get Ward-Hibbert playing he'll make the Lions stronger, particularly with 2nd chance points. Robbie P used all his coaching know-how to keep Riders in the game but eventually Lions quality in depth saw us through. The other games between these two teams this season could be very exciting!!

Best game I have seen live for a long time. Both team have great guards. Liggins is the real deal, works his nuts off the whole game. Crandall was excellent for Riders and boy can he see a pass. Nelson Henry was woeful in the first quarter but returned from a spell on the bench to really become a presence in the paint. Lions looks far more solid now with less rotations too. Riders will be up there with the talent they have and Robbies undoubted coaching talent. If they pick up another decent big guy they will be the real deal too.

It's free. Lions need the win to have a decent chance of progressing,as I can see both Riders & Eagles rolling over against Sharks if they don't need to win & it puts Lions out. Even with a win we could still go out but with a win of more than 6 then I think we're safe but I can't be completely sure. Am I missing something, Lions got the win, so doesn’t that guarantee progression to the quarter finals? Lions have played all 6 games in the group stage, and have 3 losses. Sheffield have 3 losses already and still have 2 games to play... so the best they can do is equal Lions performance. And as Lions have the H2H over Sheffield how could Lions still not qualify for the quarter finals?

If Sharks get two massive wins they could take a spot but not at Lions expense.
