Expected nothing from tonight. Focus on next two league matches.
But a great start by a team that can’t buy a road win.
Fully expect Giants to tear it up as it wears on and come away with a double digit win but good signs for Surrey.

Well, not to be in the end. Can take a lot of heart from that performance though.
Play like that vs Bristol and Worcester over the next two games and we will be in business.
As usual, struggled to execute on the crucial play at the death.
But can’t be too negative about that. Hicks made a positive impact.

Imagine if Tony Hicks had played in this match! He did. I wonder of somebody at the BBL reads this site ... bet they do! Until yesterday the Stats didn't actually include Hicks, although he did appear in the Play-By-Play. It was quite weird as you could see things like his missing points as the totals didn't add up. I wonder if it was to do with the different format the BBL use for Live Stats and under Fixtures (which includes Results). Live Stats has more tabs (including things like Preview). The Results pages are different though which is where I first saw Hicks was missing. He was also missing in the Box Score. Maybe because he he'd only just joined and an entry was missing somewhere on the database. I did know that he'd played though; the Live Stats link did show him in the Box Score on game night; I was just being awkward! The BBL do a good job with their stats though. |

It waswas a cup game so wouldn't appear in league stats. Prehaps BBL should provide a league only and an all game stats (league, cup & trophy) page
