I think it was only 1 positive and 6 self isolating? Not 7 positive results? The original statement by Lions was (deliberately?) misleading. Either Mark Woods or Hoopsfix later confirmed, having spoken to Lions, that following a single positive test the entire team were tested resulting in a total of 7 positive tests. At that point the team stopped all contact with each other, and the 7 players (those who presumably never tested positive) that played in the Cup final had each received 2 negative results over the 4 days prior to the game, which satisfied the BBL enough to clear them to play. It obviously didn't satisfy the FIBA Europe Cup organiser though! |
