Surrey are just such a mess.
Hicks first technical was one of those things but to compound it with a swift follow-up was simply awful.
And Richards was having his way at the post early doors so why (unless Richards was kernackered?) was that play discontinued?
At the heart of everything it seems as if the (so-called) leaders on the team have given up on Creon.
Creon's post-game comments were searingly Frank, pointing to a lack of chemistry.
It would be nice if it was as easy as (Creon put it) throwing a grenade in there, because it looks like,yet again, Surrey's season is already done.

Absolute crap 3rd quarter, with squad we have should be doing a lot better. Thought Creon was honest in his post match interview but whether he can alter the chemistry of team quickly enough I don't know. Imo I think it's more a clash of ego's than anything.

On the positive side, I did mean to mention that I thought that the coverage was largely very good.
HT & FT chats were a nice bonus and all the early-season nonsense with ludicrous camera switches and an erratic scoreboard have all been eradicated.
So there's an example of Surrey seeing what's wrong and then managing to do what's necessary to put it right...
