This one will be interesting.... Will Lyons keep to his shorter rotation? Will Lillard be able to find a way to score ? Will Lewis turn up ? How will the refs blow all the big men contact ? Let’s see

Will Atiba pickup a tech? Will the commentators forget it’s Nicholas Lewis?

Well, I'm still waiting for Eagles to turn up.
Well done Sharks, you can only beat what is in front of you. Oh I forgot, nothing. Loved Daves quote "Eagles Red Sea defence". Summed us up in a nutshell.

Eagles were poor, uncommitted and without Gordon look very poor. Sharks capitalised, hats off to them

The start was ominous Maxwell with first 6 points for eagles and involved in everything Eagles did for the first 4 minutes, but Sharks began to get a handle on him

Good win Will Lyons keep to his shorter rotation? Nope, Campbell and Jones managed to get a minus 4 each in plus minus column in their short time on court..... Will Lillard be able to find a way to score ? Yes,they let him go left and he used his athleticism well and kept playing. Thumbs up Will Lewis turn up ? Clearly struggling to adjust with better players around him but he did ok How will the refs blow all the big men contact ? Only Gordon fouled out and he was stupid to do so on a tech Loved the GSW back door baseline cuts and some of our two man game The trip back will be a lot easier than last time !

Gordon with 5 fouls in 16 mins of play. He must’ve been pissed! Okay, I am going with the American meaning of that but not for Gordon, for me. I am angry, I hate losing but don't mind so much if the team tries. This team did not. They failed to adjust and let Sharks dictate. Ridiculous shots, impossible passes and turnovers galore. We looked like a team meeting up for the first time with the imports just off the plane. Shambolic is too kind a word. Sharks came with a plan and executed it well. Some of their backdoor cuts were a joy to watch and they really deserved their blow-out. This will be a test for Coach Macleod, the autopsy should be brutal and honest. Tonight we were not a team and were beaten soundly by a side who were. Even Keymotion let me down and only kicked me out twice. It even let me straight back in. Thank goodness for Uncle Jeff and Dave E, at least I had something from the North East to cheer me. Should Bristol be afraid of a backlash, I hope so.

Snag is that we have to now beat Sharks...

What an incredible result that was! Honestly I wasn't sure i was going to actually bother with the game last night, but I'm really glad I did!
Yes we played well, Koch once again getting nearly as many points as he had minutes (can you please play our only credible inside threat more then 16 minutes?), and nice contributions from all 5 starters. The defensive intensity was fantastic, especially those opening 6 minutes of the third which effectively killed off the game. But having said all that, that must be the most disjointed, every man for himself, 1 on 3 basketball I've ever seen the Eagles play, spearheaded by a barely believable 9 turnovers from Fletcher. Really took me by surprise, can anyone offer a credible explanation, or are we just chalking it down to a bad one off?

Everyone’s at a loss Retsek from an eagles fans point of view, nobody performed but well done Sheffield for Taking advantage

Difficult game to call when the team you support play so badly. Tried to give Sharks as much credit as they deserved and not sure I said it on commentary but I certainly did after the game, having watched this exciting Eagles side all season I really didn't think they had a performance like this in them. Sharks scored 90 points which was impressive but holding Eagles to 70 was even more impressive especially when you look at how they dealt with Eagles "Big Three" Fletch, Cortez and Justin. Defensively Sheffield were excellent and that enabled them to be conbasketball kited and confident on offence. Their play at the start of the third and end of the second when Eagles got back to within 2 were the key factors. I have to say Ian MacLeod was brutally honest in his assessment afterwards. But if one good win doesn't make a good team then one bad loss doesn't make a bad team. Thankfully the BBL gives you a chance to back quickly so it's on to Bristol tomorrow. It'll be tough as we know but the players owe the Coach a response.

You can get it through the internet on www.novaradio.co.uk. Interviews with Atiba, MacLeod and Eddie Matthew with all three giving very honest opinions.
