Bamfield is certainly good enough. Whilst he is proven at getting results on a small budget, I am not sure his club in Malta would release him, as he is doing too well for them over there.

Having had the misfortune of dealing with the Chief Exit Officer, I can confirm that there is a kinda Dr Evil thing going on! Zip it! Zip It! and then push the button on the chair and eliminate those that wont Zip IT!!! Very tactical though- Giants make the Playoffs-I made a good decision Giants dont make the playoffs-I lost players and let the coach go Very predictable sadly. I’d like to see Paul Middleton, Josh Merrington or Marc Steutel but think it will be a Yorrick, Stephen Gayle, 90s mcr bbl player type appointment....

based on last coach being part time and the club taking the rare in BBL approach of releasing a coach mid season for on court results, unless thy are also changing their model and putting in a coach FT with wider remit - I think talk of anyone who is not already living within 1hr of the practice venue is off the mark.

Live stats had Pluto Vourliotis as assistant coach to Byrne last night - how come he’s not being considered with his long BBL experience going back to Newcastle Comets ?

Hes had time to prep for Newcastle (a team that were on a losing streak, have key injuries and on the second of a two game weekend), and lost by 25. I wont go into too much more than that, but the audition didnt go so well did it... |

Not absolutley no, but it was hardly the "reaction" you may have expected against what was as vulnerable an Eagles team as were likely to see... He said he wanted to bring back energy and intensity, back to basics stuff. They got outrebounded 50/41, less shots 75/86, turned the ball over 18 times and got 4 fast break points. Not really symptomatic of a hard working, energetic performance that he was after. So what did they work at all week? Admittedly its a tiny sample size, and by his own article on the website I think he knows he wont be in the top job long, but it begs the question as to why they didnt have someone lined up if they were going to get rid of Dan... |

Just questioning the antipathy towards the man.
The hoopsfix was pretty boring tbh and didn’t watch it all.
However the club were applauded for moving on from the old gang. As much as I liked Callum his minutes at sharks indicate it was probably the right time.
Personally like Danny but no idea how good a senior coach he is or what’s gone on to result in the coaching change.
They’re playing at the national centre which is a massive upgrade on the lucozade arena and the last place.
He’s got Gardner to the end of the season and we don’t know thereafter.
I guess time will tell.
