Often wonder why the BBL hasn´t sourced a naming sponsor. Presumably the bar is a bit high? But surely any cash is cash?

Any source of income at the moment is very welcome. I didn't realise that Riders Morningside arena was sponsored by a pharmaceutical company with links to Leicester, not until I read the box my tablets are packed in. Wonder if I could get discount on Riders tickets when spectators are allowed in again.

In my defence I clearly don't live in or near Leicester. |

I suppose the closest we've come to this in recent years is Benecos acquiring the naming rights to the Play Offs. I agree they won't want any tin pot company having naming rights to the league, and I accept the days of the likes of Budweiser sponsoring the league no longer exist (would that even be appropriate these days?), but I'd have thought there'd be a happy compromise available. I never liked the ' Dairylea Dunkers League' though... but I appreciate it probably bought in more money to the league that's been offered in a long time. And best to forget about the Playboy TV London Leopards. Well done to Newcastle Eagles though on this recent news. |

I always thought it was named after the area of Leicester as well - hopefully it will be the MorningSickness Arena after tonight's match !
