Bloody nuisance that the timing of this match is clashing with Surrey tipoff on Saturday.
I guess I could try to simulwatch, but its still irksome that the planners couldn't plan matters better - anyone would think there's some sort of crisis going on in the world.

Solent easy winners but that was the most amateurish thing I’ve ever seen in British Basketball.
Commentators were good but what the hell was the score, video all over the place, wrong timings , shot clock constantly wrong.
Must do better

Must do better I feel like I need to make a comment on this as yesterday was a tough day, but a successful one given the circumstances. At the end of the day, a final was held and you got to watch a live stream. Unfortunately, due to a certain song being played at half-time, it’s temporarily been blocked from YouTube, but we hope to have it back online ASAP. With regards to the scoreboard, and camera angles, all I can do is apologise if you felt it was not to your standard. As I mentioned on commentary, there was a road traffic accident on the M1 J14-15 off Milton Keynes that hampered the majority of people from arriving at the venue at a suitable time. I myself, arrived at the venue at 5:10pm, having set off to Leicester at 12:30pm (I’m a 2hr, 45min drive). And the cameraman, who needs around three hours to prepare, arrived at 4pm. There’s only two of us, so you can understand the struggle, right? The reason for the scoreboard flickering was unfortunately due to it being too far away from the camera, the scoreboard was connected to the camera. I apologise if you thought the production was “amateurish” and that we must do better (You’ve heard of Keemotion, right? Haha). But if you do think that, then get involved... be the change.

Fair play for the response. The commentary was good ( only heard ‘Downtown’ 5 times otherwise all good). Blaming traffic is poor though - I’ve never seen a TV game of any sport not shown due to cameramen not being on time. Is Keemotion the device which follows the ball (or in the football case once followed the linesman’s bald head) loool

Drivethebody has now offered advice to players, coaches, team managers, audio/visual producers and commentators. I hope the powers that be read this message board because the answer to all of our sport's problems is right here.
Johnhobbs- thanks for the coverage of what was an entertaining game - I, for one, enjoyed it.

I didn't watch the game so can't really comment on the quality, however I know how hard these guys work to get these livestreams available. If they say there was an issue getting to the venue, or the internet wasn't working out that day, then that's what it is. They're not making excuses so they can sit around and be lazy! DTB, take up John's offer and put the hours etc in to do one of these live streams, then you'll see what it's like and whether you want to carry on doing it for decades to come, as that's how long a lot of these people have been doing it, despite the odd complaint!

Unfortunately there will always be people who love to snipe from the comfort of their sofa and never put their head above the parapet and do something. I thought the coverage was excellent and especially the first half was a great game. The keymotion camera has had exactly the same issues when used for BBL games. It's not ideal but people should remember we were lucky enough to have live, free coverage watched by over 700 at the time of a final in a competition that BE had no interest in and was organised by the clubs.

DTB seems to be comparing the coverage to sort you might expect to see on the main terrestrial channels or SKY BT. Obviously on the "budgets" that are being worked to that is totally unrealistic. Basketball in this country depends hugely on volunteers and people helping out at all levels. That is where we are and to deride their efforts because they don't stack up is just disrespectful.
