The commentary team for last Fridays Eagles/Lions game stated that discussions were under way to change the format of this seasons play-offs. I suspect this is to make them more COVID friendly. They also stated that Ian MacLeod thought the advantage of home court was now meaningless in the crowd-free environment (I happen to disagree).
The only change I can see is to remove the two-leg aspect of it with the top four still maintaining home advantage for the quarter-finals. The semi-finals would also be the same with the top two seeds having home advantage.
I was just wondering if anyone had any news/thoughts about this.

If he thinks there's no advantage he can come down to Plymouth on the Friday night then back home on the Saturday and see if he thinks there's an advantage or not. It's definitely much less but the coach rides are just as long. I'd love them to do a bubble playoff at Leicester or Newcastle

It must be advantageous to play at home if that's your practice court. Your spatial awareness will be used to the environment and so positioning yourself to make a shot is bound to be easier with familiar reference points.

I suspect it's because they've allowed teams to reschedule games for after the original end of the regular season meaning there is only 15 days between the last regular season game and the currently scheduled final, which is clearly not going to be enough for teams to play 4 games given venue availability and other logistical issues. I wonder if they'll opt for a finals weekend for the semis and final so that they have a clear weekend for single leg quarters.

Dan Routledge has confirmed the Play-Offs are not being pushed back.
Although it's unclear whether he means the entire Play-Offs are not being pushed back or whether the Play-Off Final is not being pushed back (which given Sky already have it scheduled I could have told you).
