What a finish to the NCAA final four game that was a massive shot by Suggs. I do think March madness is the top 10 events in world sport. Also think back a few years where Jenkins won the national title with the last shot against UNC

Not a college fan but watched extended highlights of that game and it was very entertaining!

Also think back a few years where Jenkins won the national title with the last shot against UNC I've been avoiding this thread all day Even before Suggs hit that, that was one of the best basketball games you'll ever watch. Or in the case of a lot of people on here, not watch

That was a typo and I meant the other game. Or maybe I meant many of the other games that were played at random times during the tourney? Or just other games of basketball played somewhere in the globe that day? Who really cares........well other than you of course........

If a typo no worries as I make many. Not sure about the snarky **** after but apparently that’s the way you all talk to each other on here now. 😀

Does anyone know the reasoning behind the women playing in quarters and the men still being in a time warp of old fashioned halves/shot clock?

Principally because the women's format has one less TV timeout per half. S/He who pays the piper....
There's a bit of sentiment, as well, as it ends the one & one. The NIT did experiment with a compromise where they went with the normal team foul rule and reset them midway through each half. It was a bit of a mess.
The women's game also brought in the 30 second shot clock before the men. And (I think) the 20 second reset.
